bunnyeyes Posted August 9 Posted August 9 (edited) The song is incredible, very LDR but pop enough sonically to not sound too inauthentic. The goofy parts of the video made me cringe at first it felt like a parody until I realized its supposed to be satire of the consumption of the American pop girl and also her just being her and you know what, it oddly works literally no other pop girl is doing that and it's very self-aware and on the nose. We will be following with great interest. She also really does give lovable southern starlet with fire in her eyes in a way no one else has since Britney. Edited August 9 by bunnyeyes 2
Hex Posted August 9 Posted August 9 The lyrics are very cringe and I thought she honestly would serve something better given her alleged taste level. Not bad though - she sells it well enough. Still not getting any identity from this. Looking forward to hopefully hearing her sessions with AG Cook which I'm sure blow this out of the water. Not surprised she went the safe route unfortunately. 1
