KatyPrismSpirit Posted August 4 Posted August 4 The OP like always, salivating out of his mouth in attempts to drag Katy. OT: I'm so excited for the tour, if she comes to Europe i'm def going to see her 1
manuelalex9810 Posted August 4 Posted August 4 (edited) I think by "massive tour" she means a lot of dates around the world which she's been doing since The Prismatic World Tour. But anyway, I can't wait, Katy is known for giving a good show and production, so I'm excited, hopefully she will come to my city in Mexico. Edited August 4 by manuelalex9810
Dark Phoenix Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Now if she makes something in the scale of the Renny tour and puts all the hits + a few cute bops from the new album maybe, the only way I could see her selling this is if it's a GH tour. 2
Bosque Posted August 4 Posted August 4 I'm sure she can put together a relatively successful tour if she plays all her old hits. Hopefully they don't go overboard with the capacities
Cheers Posted August 4 Posted August 4 I love a good Katy drag but I hate when people act obtuse simply because they don't like the artist. She obviously meant massive as in she's going to be touring all around the world. 2 1
Maroonx Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Is she doing bars?? coz I don't even think she can fill up theaters at this point 2
dumbsparce Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Is she really that unaware of the state of her career? I understand that she wants to tour and she can to a degree but describing it as massive when her latest single lasted less than a Taylor Swift relationship is peak delusion. 1
Paddy Posted August 5 Posted August 5 I hope she goes to many cities and countries and puts on an amazing show. I'm definitely going if she's coming here. 1 1

Exactly like I watched the video and then read some the replies in here and the illiteracy is baffling to say the least. It's crazy how I've been on this forum for a decade now and still get shocked at how stupid most of the user base is. 2 1
Comedor Posted August 5 Posted August 5 I'm getting front row, ground floor tickets. Hope the new album is not a turd, don't want this tour to be a throwback hits only. 1
Robyn. Posted August 5 Posted August 5 You guys seem to forget that touring doesn't necessarily require you to be currently popular. As long as you're a household name, which she is. She can do fine. People know her name and songs and want to enjoy a show, it really stops there. 2

It's not like Madonna and P!nk are charting any better than Katy nowadays and yet their tours were amongst the biggest of the 10s. Katy won't be selling stadiums but she could surely do some arenas on a global scale. She does have like 12 huge hits to draw people in. RihannaRTT Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Just now, Bimbo said: Comparing Katy to Madonna... And is the point not the exact same? Neither are successful in today's climate. Madonna is a far bigger name than Katy of course, and that's why she'll be able to do stadiums while Katy won't, but we're out here acting as if Katy is on the level of Selena Gomez or Rita Ora. Katy genuinely has 12 hits from 2008 to 2014 that will draw a crowd. People underestimate how important nostalgia is when it comes to touring. Look at the demand for acts like the sugababes, girls aloud and n-dubz. If they can do arenas, clearly so can Katy. We need to be serious for a moment and realise that just bc Katy is making terrible personal and musical choices, people will still go to see her (unfortunately) live. 1
JustHoran Posted August 5 Posted August 5 She should do smaller places so it's a success for her. I really don't see her doing the huge venues she use to do. 1
wehan6 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 she always puts so much effort into her shows i hope this will be another $100M grossing tour for her. she deserves it 1
