Popular Post UrMom Posted August 3 Popular Post Posted August 3 I feel like it's often overshadowed online by the fan favourite Erotica and the magnum opus Ray of Light, but Bedtime Stories is sublime! Very nice lil R&B album with some of the greatest music videos of all time. Give Madge some streams, queens! Bonus outtake (and a TOTAL BOP). Single-quality tbh. 20
Escape Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Yes I need the girls to serve me more Trance-inspired songs like the Bedtime Story. 8
Shimenawa Posted August 3 Posted August 3 One of my fav Marge album, very underrated. I guess too r&b for pop stans 5 1
Slap Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Which variant tho? I preferred the voice memo one she did to block Paula Abdul. 1

Horizon Flame Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Her second best album after Erotica! It's gorgeous! It basically saved her career in the US. She should do a mini tour for it. She basically did that for American Life with Tears of a Clown. I'm still dying to hear the Shep Pettibone demos! 5
Janet Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Survival I Could Be Your Lover Don't Stop inside of me human nature forbidden love love tried to welcome me sanctuary bedtime story whew this is a 10/10 album. Shame about the ugly cover but the music truly makes up for it 2
pisuke Posted August 3 Posted August 3 My favorite after the best album of all time Erotica. 27 minutes ago, Onyxmage said: Is this the album where Madonna copied Bjorks entire aesthetic? Bjork wrote a song for the album. Do your homework before talking nonsense. 6 1
Horizon Flame Posted August 3 Posted August 3 (edited) Inside of Me is one of the most touching songs she's ever done. While she was obviously trying to do some damage control and do something a bit softer, she wouldn't let the backlash she received go without responding (songs like Survival and Human Nature). She kept her artistic integrity doing that. You have to respect that. While she used some of the most popular producers at that time, the songs are quite intricate and unlike many that you would hear on radio. She went in a safer direction but not an easier one sonically and lyrically. It's still a ballsy album. I think lush sums up the album. Edited August 3 by Horizon Flame 6 1

I didn't know this this definitely should've happened but we got an Oh Father rerelease and a flop Love Don't Live Here Anymore remix released instead 1
modeblock Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Yeah, it's the album that made me a stan when I was a kid. Secret and Human Nature ALONE >>>> discographies 1 1
BGKC Posted August 3 Posted August 3 I wouldn't say it's any better than Erotica or Ray Of Light, but it's nice. 2
