holyground13 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Those Red TV photos were so a part of the Evermore photo sessions right? I first thought why is Red associated with Evermore? Fair at #17 - Red is great. A perfect pop song. #17 in a rate of 260 songs by a great musician is amazing. 1

COME ON, MS SWIFT! SOAK'EM UP!" wastedpotential 10 - "Oh now why wasn't THIS the lead single? Why did She have to rip herself off with that other one when this was right there? Why did She feel compelled to NOT make this Her biggest hit yet? I do not understand Her mind. Still, what a song this is. Considering how many years She sat on it and how many lyrical edits She made over the years, I fear someone lesser would've edited the greatness away and mutilated it a bit, but whew, every live version just got better and better lyrically, and the studio version was the best of all. You can tell She re-wrote the lyrics after the… topic became less hypothetical for Her. This is yet another song I will pretend was never applied to John Mayo in Her mind, but pretending can only go so far. As is the case with so many of Her earlier hymns, this has a hook that men would die for, and it also suffers from the accursed Nathan Chapman nonconsensual duetting syndrome, may we pray for its quick return to good health. She sacrificed some men to make this hymn, I just know it. I think it was worth it, though. The Bridge probably required Her to burn a hundred virgins as an offering and I think that was the right decision. Alas, if only She could've saved some of the luck for this hymn's chart performance. It being the first #1 country single from this book despite being the fifth single is a wild thought to have (and yes, I am ashamed to admit that I no longer instantly remember all the country charts peaks for Her singles and had to go double check this fact, but that's only because Midnights and TTPD numbers are so large that they take up a lot of room in my head), but She wasn't ever a country radio darling. I think we should wheel out the guillotine and separate the head of every country PD's head from their body. Still, that really proves that this hymn was the true hit on the book that got away and She kept trying to deny its greatness by throwing them other, lesser songs before finally caving. Notice Lord is drinking." greento 9.3 - "THE definition of a Taylor Swift song." Flames2Embers 9 - "Taylor fanboy, this one is for you." Achilles. 10 - "This should have been the lead single; it already had passionate fan support and was way more crossover friendly than Mine." Bosque 8 - "The worse and less-well aging older sister of Mine." Where are you now? 7 - "Sparks Fly TV is a crime." 1

You gotta triple-extra-multitask sis! I'm here, I'm working, I'm ordering lunch, and I'm streaming the song that killed my grandmother ("Sl*t!")
