Edge Of Glory Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Just now, Achilles. said: All of the folkmore stans on this site are also Fearless and/or Preach Now stans. Meaning we're the actual Taylor Swift stans who have been here all along. Half of us never wanted her to go pop in the first place. Maybe the stans of the 1989–Lover albums should pretend they were released by Katy Perry or something. She could hse a good album in her catalog. mind you i've been here since fearless/speak now too + claimed speak now as my fave for years......but i just need a lil less folkmore glazing and a little more appreciating of the bonafide pop classics that expanded her career far beyond where it could've been if she stayed hyucking and bucking. just a pinch less/more on either side!!

Cruel Summer Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Honestly I can't be mad at The 1 going. But I do love it - that first play the day Folklore semi-surprise-dropped was legendary. 3
Klein Posted September 7 Posted September 7 the 1 you will forever be iconic. We love you I'm doing good i'm on some new ****, been saying yes instead of no 5
Achilles. Posted September 7 Posted September 7 On that note, folklore just surpassed Born This Way to become my 5th most played album of all time, meaning that for the first time ever the whole top 5 is Taylor Swift albums. @Forever Winter my comment for the 1 is missing. 3 3

I will ALWAYS hate 1989 because of this reason the girls used to drag me because I used to say I hate her pop music ShittyPoo and the rest of Red pop singles used to be torture bc all the people in my school that used to hate her country music acted like those were her best songs and I wanted to SCREAM 2 1
gagacasanova Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Now I can breathe easily (while internally raging) now that my 11s have been whacked. Spoiler Don't **** with the rest of my 10s tho
Axolotl Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Not Safe and Sound being out Back read and saw Midnight Rain didn't reach top 50, SUCH A CRIME

I mean I get it because ̶1̶9̶8̶9̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶m̶o̶s̶t̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶y̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶l̶b̶u̶m̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶t̶i̶m̶e̶ but the double punch of folklore/evermore plus the Fearless/Red/Speak Now rerecordings dropping consecutively accidentally reminded me that I never wanted her to go pop and that as much as I enjoyed those albums at the time, I revisit them a lot less than any of her other material these days. So I'd prefer pop to be underrepresented in the top 100 / top 40 / top 20. 3
Cruel Summer Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Not gonna lie, I do also think it's hilarious that a bunch of us are very much not on the pop side of the fandom divide and still openly admitted that the 1989 sleeper cell gets us just as insanely hyped as it gets everyone else - oh what an album, impersonal lyricism be damned 5 1
