The Music Industry

10 - "This is Taylor's best vault track so far along with Timeless. The profundity of the lyrics, the introspective tone, the emotional resonance, the impeccable composition, the Phoebe feature... It's a solid 10/10. She always makes the best music when she's an insecure mess. :weeps:"

SLUTTVFTV

10 - "Phoebe ate with this."

wastedpotential

9.6 - "I will say that my score here is obligatorially high, because I feel I need to rate this on a hypothetical rather than what we actually got. I've tried to get into her music several times, but I cannot find it within myself to like Phoebe Bridgers' vocals. I find them grating, thin (but not in an artistic way, rather, in a Selena-ish faux cutesy way), and nasal, and I really think they lack the emotional depth required for a song of this magnitude and on this topic. I wish this was a solo song SO badly, I'd give my second born child away to Lord as a sacrifice to make that happen. Other than that, I'm really on board with this one, and "How can a person know everything at eighteen, and nothing at twenty two" is a very special lyric."

Peroxide

8.4 - "One of the best vault songs we've gotten so far… what a number."

Achilles.

8 - "Better than The Lucky One, but she made the right choice in putting that on the album instead of this; it simply needed to cook longer."

LoveInStereo

7.5 - "Listening to this is hard cause she was having these thoughts when she was 3 years younger than me...ok, so i guess im an old dusty decrepit ***** who is already too far gone."

KillingYourCareer

6 - "Very peculiar song, I feel like the Red era was when she started getting super ambitious about her career, and this is her coping with the fact that she might have started to decline commercially soon. Interesting lyrics to listen to now."

Klein

6 - "I know this is THE song from the Red vault for a lot of people (if we exclude ATW10 of course). I have to say that while the lyricism is absolutely incredible... I'm a bit bored listening to this sometimes. It drags in terms of melodies, while everything else about the song is amazing (the lyrics, the production, the feature...).."

My Tears Ricochet

4 - "It's just boring af. Just another one of Taylor's intentionally dull female collaborations."

blown away

1.5 - "An awful and boring song, something you'd expect from a song with Phoebe Bridgers on it."

If it's TTPD - I'll need names and addresses of those that gave these songs low scores

I gave this song a mediocre score only because of her voice tbh :suburban: It just sounds... off. And pretty obnoxious.

She just does not work for me :suburban:
