fromily Posted July 31 Posted July 31 seems like a combination of streaming farms/bots and a dedicated effort by his weirdo fans. The korean stats are obviously straight up fraud, given how small spotify's userbase is there. although... I just checked and he is MIA from korea's actual top 100 on both daily and weekly streaming charts which highly suggests that both local and international fans have made the decision to focus their efforts elsewhere. It's possible that they've set up spotify korea accounts and are streaming it there instead in order to boost his global rank specifically. Spoiler tbh i will never understand why the ugliest, most botched group in k-pop was the one to finally make it BIG big in the west... bulletproof boy scouts giving the whole genre a bad name
