You're all comparing a glorified compilation collab album, to an album that was neglected and left to rot by its owner immediately after release. The only song that appeared on another album was TQG, and according to Karol herself the release of her own album was delayed to coincide with the schedule Shakira planned for TQG's release. And it did what it did because it was riding her BZRP Session's hype. That's why it was Shakira's 2nd Top 10 hit of the year and the first of Karol's entire career. The problem with Shakira's album was that the hype was long gone when it came out.
