BRAT feels more culturally relevant than any other release of the year. Why?

If it weren't for ATRL I wouldn't know about the existence of that album :dies:

It's tied to Kamala Harris now. It has an organic growth, something the stans of a certain capitalist monster can't grasp it seems :sistrens:

Because it's good plus the typical bandwagoning

This. I haven't seen a single thing about this album outside of this forum. Maybe its more relevant if you're younger like early 20s?

It does to me because I'm a part of stan culture and on ATRL

But if I wasn't part of that, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have heard of the album

the songs are constantly used on Instagram/TikTok posts though.

I don't listen to pop music that much and barely enter on here, haven't heard the album either but I do know it exists and pop fans loved it. And it's literally the only one.

Probably, bc I see it all the time on social media and I'm 23.

Because you're a poppers-intoxicated homosexual probably. There was nothing game-changing in the real world when it comes to music this year let's be real.

Like, not only are they — what, 7?% of the global population, if that, but the fraction of that percentage that are pop music enthusiasts familiar with Charli XCX is almost negligible :deadbanana2:

A gay social media marketing agent uploading a header on twitter to farm engagements from the terminally online crowd does not mean that something has permeated any culture in the real world.

It does feel big even though the streaming numbers arent that impressive, I can't escape it but that's probably because of the algorithm

Lots of str8s appreciate the album too idk why y'all are saying its cause of the gays

You have evidence that lots of str8 appreciate the album besides your anecdote?

this thread is so funny because there's been discourse on several online spaces like twitter reddit and tiktok these past couple of days about how corporations and politics are using brat and brat summer and how tiring it has become. only on atrl you see ppl claiming brat is unknown :rip:

Thanks for actual numbers.

The basic Megan Trainor/Selena Gomez girlies calling us poppers and other drug abusers in here is wild...

swifties running in here to counter the OP without even acknowledging the fact that the GP doesn't give 2 shits about their faves newest album (no actual hits btw) meanwhile BRAT has permeated every social media channel possible and goes beyond commercial success with companies picking up the brat aesthetic for their own promotion... you can't buy organic demand like that even if you tried!:bibliahh:

I'm terrified about the waves of gays posting everything that is green on their insta stories and adding 'brat' to it
