Well, because you're gay and a part of stan culture.

No one outside of the stan world (so 99.9% of the population) would think this album is "culturally relevant".

I think it's one of those scenarios where good marketing meets good and catchy music. But I don't know how much it's penetrated the non-stan/pop music enthusiasts world.

And will be forgotten sooner than you think.

I think we need to give it more time to see how much it has penetrated the culture/people outside of pop music circles. But you can't deny it feels more relevant/impactful than 90% of the releases of the year already.

Just now, State of Grace. said:

Yall saying "stan twitter" when the album and "brat summer" have already branched out outside of that bubble lol

It really hasn't. Ask any of the GP if they know what Brat is and they really wouldn't know.

it's honestly cuz most of us are LGBTQ+. not a lot of straight people know about an album called 'brat'.

and this is in no way shade to Charli, it's like PADAM PADAM but the whole album, not just one song

it's amazing. but it's a LBGTQ+ thing

Brat actually is achieving a lot of cultural relevance for a Charli album, and is arguably one of the biggest music moments of the summer. I wouldn't say it's THE biggest of the year but :rip:

I was in a city where pride was happening this weekend (for about an hour) and I saw numerous Brat t-shirts and tattoos :celestial5:

It's definitely cos gays/stan world kind of exist in a vacuum and so you're essentially surrounding yourselves with people who care about similar things which make them seem more relevant than they actually are.

With that being said it's still an impressive era and album, and I believe will have lasting impact regardless of those who claim it's just twitter vibes.
