Freaky Prince Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Because Taylor's music is more palatable and relatable. I mean, there's no reason a 35 year old would still sing about high school hallways, friendship bracelets and grand theft auto, but she does, because it's her selling point.
shimind Posted July 22 Posted July 22 everyone has their own taste.. if u love torturing urself to same old vanilla white bread music for 2 hrs then that's YOUR problem. Gaga's music has diversity it goes from jazz to pop to heavy metal to rock to alt pop she can do it all. Plus she isnt hated by black people so thats a plus.
SlowGinFizzzz Posted July 22 Posted July 22 I don't particularly care about either of them, but 1) "replay value" is something completely subjective and 2) trying to determine the quality of music based on its streaming numbers is deeply unserious, but – yet again – illustrates quite nicely why so many people see Taylor Swift as the McDonald's of pop music. 1
Jay07 Posted July 22 Posted July 22 (edited) Calling Chromatica of all albums noisy shows that you really have no real concept of electronic music, if anything it's way too streamlined and polished for Gaga's standards. Replayability is a completely subjective factor and bringing streams into it shows once again most people have the critical thinking of a gnat, as streams are influenced by a billion factors like the fact that Gaga has been completely inactive musically for years and she left Chromatica to die after one week. Ironically, her songs that keep going viral like Judas actually are noisy but Gen Z keeps eating them up so I guess your thread is baseless. Edited July 22 by Jay07 2 2
Orsay Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Only one of them released The Fame/Monster, which the GeePee replayed more than any Trailor album! According to stats and numbers 2

Nevertheless, her music has replay value because it's always the same formula to have you hooked listening to it. It doesn't make it any better though.
frankgutz Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Is just bait to make swifties and monsters fight, nice try lil cat
