'Crazy Kids' flopped. Why?

Despite having 2 remixes, this bop did not do well. What happened?

No idea. The best song on Warrior along with Supernatural.

Die Young being pulled from radios then releasing Cmon as a single... it was destined to do bad. A BOP tho

The remixes were terrible, the video wasn't appealing and was following up a radio pulled lead single and an underperforming second.

The era just played out terribly cause of the unfortunate timing, getting overshadowed in Q4 and waiting too long after Animal + Cannibal. At least the material was there

Cause it's mid and Dr Luke is an untalented hack, stream Joyride instead

Worst single of the era by far and will.i.am brings literally nothing to the table. If I'm not mistaken, she wasn't feeling Crazy Kids at all, right?

C'Mon and Dirty Love are the gorgeous ones.

It's simple!

- Reductive of Die Young

- Weird insensitive video

- Shitty lyrics

- Bad remixes

I mean everything after Die Young that era flopped — I'm sure the will.i.am remix didn't help but I think the public was just kinda not all that interested in Kesha by that point.

Great song though!

Probably because the corny white girl rap aesthetic wasn't it.

I low key lived for it though:jonny2:

"Crazy Kids" would've flourished if it were apart of Animal, but, by 2012-13 this sound was slowly starting to fade. But it's certainly one of my favs on the LP.

It's funny to me when people say this as DY is one of the worst songs ever. I love Crazy Kids and I wish it had been the lead as it was the only great single that era.

it oozes that amazing Kesha's energy so I blame will.i.am tbh

she faded just like her sound. i bet if she was allowed her vision (with songs like machine gun love, lover etc) she'd have done far better.

It was still a hit & Crazy Kids wasn't. If you personally prefer Crazy Kids over Die Young that's up to personal taste than fact.

I mean i'm a Kesha stan but the braids, grills and Will.I.Am remix together was a massive CHOP!!!

C'mon went triple diamond in my house though and deserves so much more

That will.i.am verse is terrible.

Last Goodbye and Past Lives are my favorites from Warrior :bird:
