i avoided all the snippets aside from the very first choreo video for the most part, oh its perfect. its been a long time coming! i imagine the video will elevate it as well

I think they'll try this release week push to see what happens. But the strategy definitely switched more towards a single release rather than a promo single.

 

And now that I listen to the full track I understand why. It's polarizing and definitely does not sound like a hit on paper, BUT the production and the delivery has actually broader appeal than I thought.

My only worry about this song is that it's been teased for over 6 months and most of the song had been heard already. To me it doesn't feel new after listening on repeat for twenty mins or so.

So far I kinda feel like Jade would have benefited more as an artist if the times were different.

Jade has a fun personality, her music is a lot more about her experiences rather than general topics.

I feel she has too little room in this day and age to build her persona. I think that is the overall problem for all the LM girls' in their solo eras.

But especially for Jade, I feel like her  career could have followed in a Cheryl kind of skyrocketing had she a platform like the XFactor or any other show to introduce her as an indivdual. Times have changed and it wouldn't work now since the oppertunities don't excist anymore. But I feel she has everything on paper already

My only criticism of this bop is that it ends far too soon, that cvnty outro with the "it's a no from me" is so so good. I love the chaos of this song, I just want more every time I listen to it
