It's just a surefire way to kill any hype Also Chappell with that song she performed on SNL months ago that, to my knowledge, still hasn't been released? It's just… bizarre. 2

It's just… bizarre. It's such an old fashioned way to promote music It made sense like 25/30 years ago when you could debut a song live, send it to radio for a few weeks to build hype, and then release a CD single or the album. But it was already archaic in the digital era, but now with streaming? Makes zero sense. 1
abra Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I don't think anything is set in stone with strategies nowadays… Charli debuted a lot of the BRAT tracks on her dj sets and they went viral + her fanbase remained hungry for them until they were released.

I agree to be honest. I think multiple, adaptable strategies are "planned" depending on the circumstances. I don't think there's a really detailed, like you said, set in stone strategy though. 1

shark_heather Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I still think she should have released the song last Friday All these NewYear's btm gay parties would have had the song on repeat tonight
tbhmatt Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Can't wait to watch her performance later anyway, whatever she does perform. Is there a possibility she will only perform Angel?

She hasn't released anything since Good Luck, Babe!
tbhmatt Posted January 1 Posted January 1 (edited) Ok so she sang a mashup of Hot Stuff and Knock On Wood and she was ABSOLUTELY INSANE. That was an incredible performance. We are so lucky to have her, a true pop powerhouse. Edited January 1 by tbhmatt 6
tbhmatt Posted January 1 Posted January 1 So anyway, how much longer is she going to make us wait before she officially announces the release date?

It's definitely helping since most tweets about it have good numbers. 3
