It's not that Biden is an adequate leader. It's that Trump is ultimately worse than him. More evil, more ideologically regressive, more dangerous in the long term etc. That's the crux of the argument; Biden is awful, Trump is catastrophic. Pretending that they're equally bad—or at very least, likely to do the same amount of damage to the same amount of people—indicates a wilful detachment from reality at best, and a sinister petulance at worst.
