Orsay Posted July 18 Posted July 18 (edited) I'm 99% sure he's stepping down atp. Obama, Pelosi etc don't go public with this stuff unless there's something in the works. The question is the next step, I'm assuming it has to be Kamala? honestly we're ****** either way Edited July 18 by Orsay 7 1
needs Posted July 18 Posted July 18 This is happening too late for a viable Democratic candidacy between now and November. Annoying as **** 1 1

RoseGold Posted July 18 Posted July 18 It's a real shame Gavin Newsome isn't running. Not that he's great, I just think he would've stood a chance, at least.

Watching Newsom destroy Vance in a debate would be entertaining, but I don't know if he can win the swing states. A lot of people see him as everything wrong with Californians. Gretchen Whitmer would be a good choice as VP (Midwestern, good message, gets **** done), but can America handle a two-woman ticket? 1
BorderBoy Posted July 18 Posted July 18 (edited) So y'all Americans, what happens if he does step down? Does it mean that Trump won? Edited July 18 by BorderBoy

I would love a Harris/Whitmer ticket and I think it's the perfect antithesis to the kind of people that Trump/Vance are

SeeingStars1515 Posted July 18 Posted July 18 I'd like Kamala/Shapiro (PA) to lock in some of that vote but I can see Whitmer too .
Princess Aurora Posted July 18 Posted July 18 OMG it's happening. This was supposed to happen back in January not now

Bhabylon Posted July 18 Posted July 18 He needs to step down as president to give Kamala the incumbency boost

Two women is a bad idea
The7thStranger Posted July 18 Posted July 18 (edited) The one way we'd ever get somebody else on the ballot is if he himself steps aside. Plucking somebody out of thin air while Biden is in the running? Never gonna work. It has to come from him. Step down now, make Kamala the incumbent. We're going down in flames. CottageHore Posted July 18 Posted July 18 If this is true, Biden will be stepping now (unless Obama has no respect for his friend and his country and doesn't talk to Biden directly). But I just can't see Obama saying this about his old running mate. I feel like Obama has been feeding Biden's delusion more than anybody. Either way, it looks bad for the Democratic Party
