I've said this many times, but I will say it again.

Dark/Experimental Pop is Selena's lane. That is her sweet spot. She needs to work with Danja/Timbaland/Oscar/SG Lewis/ Felix Snow and Rock Mafia.

She shouldn't aim for charts and appeal to critics, rather be acclaimed than shamed atp. Love Off and Single Now,were steps back to what she can do. She needs a Loose/ BlackOut album next. Something that removes all concepts of the sad/depressing/weak woman narrative.

And more of a,I'm a boss, I'm a woman.

She can easily pull off a dark pop era. She should call able too.

I sadly agree. Selena actually needs a Lady Wood era. She's played it too safe. Her most noted songs are Bad Liar and Fetish, with the rest of the droplets.

Just keep acting and release a single once in a while. Something will stick

I think she needs to stop with those "I'm worth it" uplifting songs because the gp is not interested on those anymore, they want deeper thoughts or something sexy and controversial from her

She did this song (but ended up scrapping it) and I think if you make some twist to make it 2024ish would be the closest

Those rumors were fanfics and not true. Selena is the one that wanted to do a happy pop album and has been like this since 2022. Interscope is not letting her drop the album because they want hits from her

She has the Emilia Perez soundtrack coming very soon.

With the Emmy nomination, Cannes win & Oscar buzz she'll probably focus 100% on acting (and it's the best really, she's just not passionate about music at the moment, and acting is her true passion)

We might also get the Linda soundtrack.

Maybe she can release a couple feats but o don't think she'll release an album soon.

She might get a lot of inspiration as well while she films all this stuff. So I guess #SG3 will come 2026-2027?

Also if the rumors about she wanting to drop interscope are true maybe she can release an EP with unreleased songs (like stained) to end the contract, but she might not promote it.
