Ivan_brit Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Houdino still is the best Female lead single of the last 12 months 4
MusicLoverDude Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Taylor, Ariana and Billie already did to make up for Dua's underperformance AND Katy's flopping. Plus we have Sabrina coming next month. Hell, Bonnie McKee's album is finally out so if Katy disappointed you, just stream Bonnie's album instead. 1 1

Victor Artur Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Only if she drops 'Happy for You' as single and give it a ethereal music video.
Shimenawa Posted July 14 Posted July 14 She tried to save it with Hoedini & Training Season but the GP said NO. Now we are stuck with Tay's midpop and Katy's Women World..
TS Schönberg Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Low key hoping Lorde will. OT: I thought RO was great, although not great enough to save pop 1
Alldeezy Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Cherryland dropped last year. If ya guys actually step outside the safe zone of pop girls you'll be able to experience such an amazing pop album

Crazy playlisting (Houdini alone had almost an 200 million reach at one point), ads, expensive videos, paid sponsorships, radio deals, a pop-up concert. And the return will be middling. She might get one more push next album but it's unlikely she'll have the huge financial backing she needs to be successful. She just sold out 2 shows at Wembley stadium and earned millions. That is only 2 dates out of a whole new Europe/US tour she planned for 2025. What financial struggles are you talking about?

Like the user above said, she's going on a stadium tour next year Money is the least of Dua/her label's problem
Genius1111 Posted July 14 Posted July 14 If this thread had been created 6 to 12 months ago, pre-RO, I think more members would have agreed with the OP.
