Kinda predictable. This era really does feel like a concerted effort to relaunch Dr. Luke to the public and re-normalize his presence in the industry as a producer of Top 40 pop music performed by women. For that reason, I hope it fails.

Where have you been between 2020-2024? That man has been getting #1's and Grammy nominations all these years  :rip:

It's not Katy who will "relaunch Dr. Luke to the public and the industry" :skull:

Preview of Katy's Verse -

She's got the power

She can command

A woman's worth

Is not defined by man

Mother Hillary, Joan of Arc

You can't deny a woman's heart

Unapologetic like Madonna

I can bare my soul if I wanna

Sexy, sweet, and silly too

We girls can be what we choose

So fight for me and I'll fight for you

It's women's liberation and we're coming through!

Preview of Kim's Verse-

Buy me Gucci, eat my ass

Buy me Prada, eat his ass

Buy me Fendi, yeah you can smash

Buy me Louie, hell yeah I'll smash

Snorting coke from his ass

You know bad girls get the cash

Diamond necklace down my ****

You know bad boys can't resist *wooh-ah*

Katy wants to come to **** Pop

She wants to see the sluts drop

He wanna see these backshots

You know girl loves nothing more than a big- *wooh-ah!*

Multi-week #1 :clap3:

B*TCHHHHH :bibliahh: :bibliahh:

Especially when all those Doja songs went #1 on Pop radio too  :dies:

And Big Energy (#1 Pop Radio) and Super Freaky Girl (#1 Hot 100) are more pop than rap/hip hop

I know you're used to rep-farming but I need you to understand you are so out of your depth here that whatever exchange happens here is not going to be beneficial to you. Trying to find a way to defend rape apologia and die on the hill of Lukasz Gottwald - accused rapist - is not a conversation you've displayed the vernacular to have.

Where did Tia Tamera chart on Top 40 radio? Where did Juicy chart on Top 40 radio? If Doja Cat is a firstly a Top 40 pop artist, why does she have double the singles that out-performed on Rhythmic radio than on Pop?

  Top 40 Rhythmic
Juicy 33 2
Like That 12 4
Streets N/A 31
You Right 5 1
Freaky Deaky 24 1
Get Into It 4 2

If her peers are female pop stars, surely then other talent would be influenced by her work and her collaborators?

What other pop stars has Yeti started producing for? Is Kurtis on the new Taylor record? Billie? Is Roget on the new Ariana record?

If Doja is seen as a pop star and not a rapper that has crossover hits on pop, then why does her influence in Dr. Luke's female clientele look like the below?

  • Nicki Minaj - rapper
  • Saweetie - rapper
  • Flo Milli - rapper
  • Tay Money - rapper
  • Coi Leray - rapper
  • Latto - rapper

Again, you do not possess the vernacular you hope you do to defend Katy betting her career to rehabilitate her accused-rapist friend.

That much is obvious when you're out here posting **** like this:

Interesting there's no other female pop star on the album besides K*m and the only other woman is a female rapper! How odd!

Girl literally who asked? :rip: You keep disregarding Doja Cat as a pop star which is questionable since she has 12 #1 hits on Pop Airplay and only started making more hip-hop leaning music with her last album (which the main singles on that album still went #1 on Pop Airplay lmao)

I'm just calling out your poor analysis on which pop girls Dr. Luke produced for and that's okay. Don't box in a female black artist into the "shes a rapper" category to fit your narrative. Doja Cat is POP

Not Kim Petras 💀 Katy please choose someone else. We want features that will help you, not do nothing

No one believes you. No one takes you seriously. You are not arguing in good faith. You're working to defend Katy Perry breaking industry norms and working with a producer who hasn't had a successful hit with a Top 40 pop singer in a decade. It's embarrassing and no cynical whataboutism will change that level of rape apologia.

Let alone this cynical diversion will not work when some of us have been listening to Doja since "Tia Tamera" when Lukasz literally forgot she even existed.

Arguing about the racial politics of Doja Cat as a female rapper who can command hits on Top 40 radio and how pop gatekeepers may dismiss her as a black woman is not relevant to the conversation of Katy Perry, a white woman, rehabilitating Luke when Doja herself has made it clear she hates Lukasz, going so far as selling him more of her publishing on Planet Her so that she could make an entire album without him.

There's a fundamental difference in the industry ramifications in Katy Perry working with Dr. Luke versus Lil Durk or Coi Leray, and anyone who can't acknowledge that is arguing in bad faith and explicitly working to defend Katy putting in leg work to defend Dr. Luke as a man who has committed both physical and sexual violence against women.

Wanna know what's really concerning? A white washed-up sexpest producer exploiting black women, queer women, etc. to crawl his way back into the industry because they have less privilege and power to blacklist and refuse to work with him like many of their white peers have since 2014... well.. all their white female peers except one, it seems.

Why do you keep disregarding a black female artist as a pop singer? Like this is my point in arguing you. Doja Cat is a top 40 pop singer wether you like it or not. She is a pop star and rapper. You can be both. This whole idea that black artists can't also be pop singers is racially stimulated and you're not even aware. Just asking. Is it to fit your narrative, or because you actually don't want to acknowledge black female artists as pop stars? Asking this based on what you yourself posted is not "rape apology". It's actually a genuine concern in how you view black artistry.

Moving forward. For the 1200th time, him producing Katy's new song is out of my control, I did not ask for it, I could've really done without it. However, I, just like millions of other people who like Katy Perry as a singer and pop star, am still excited about Katy's return and Katy's return only. Hope this helps.
