UnusualBoy Posted July 8 Posted July 8 I honestly haven't heard it since April, I like the album but it got lost among TTPD, HMHAS, Chappell's album I discovered and such.

Hardly anyone in the base is praising it as her best album though. Especially when it comes to the first half, but the highs are arguably higher than whatever the average ATRL user is currently squirting over. The real problem are the hater claims regarding its quality based on streams, as if the quality of a Say So redux is exquisite (using their own logic). That's the real joke. People don't have to lie to themselves when it comes to liking CC. Edited July 8 by BGKC 2

A 27 track album Country/Experimental Americana album is something you have to be in the mood for lol. Ren is fun while CC can be moody AF I didn't call it bad. But I noticed fans saying they love it but they don't listen to it.
Ewan Chaos Posted July 8 Posted July 8 I can't remember the last time I listened in full and tbh I'm not sure next time I will; it's so dense and any time I'm like "hmm I wanna listen to a Bey album" I just go to most of her other ones. The highs on this album though, they're definitely getting strong plays still
Venice B Posted July 8 Posted July 8 No, it came and went. Zero replay value. And some people really tried to convince themselves that this was better than the holy trinity Self Titled - Lemonade - Reinassance 1
Aden Posted July 8 Posted July 8 I still listen to about 2-3 of my favorite tracks but I don't care to listen to tremendously long albums, no matter how good the content. I feel the same about Tortured Poets. We need concise albums again.

But no listened to it once in April and that was good for me. 1

'YA YA', 'TYRANT', and 'II HANDS II HEAVEN' and 'RIIVERDANCE' have so much replay value on their own. Just say you personally don't like the album. and it's spelled RENAISSANCE. you wanted to hate so bad you couldn't even type correctly.

Love all the tracks you've mentioned, but that's four out of 27. I personally don't like the album. Yeah that was a typo, and I love RENAISSANCE
shookspeare Posted July 9 Posted July 9 great album but I really only use the first half. the second half really drags for me
Heirloom Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Love the album, many tracks that I replay : Texas Hold Em, Riverdance, 2 Most Wanted, Blackbeard, 2 Hands 2 Heaven, American Requiem and her career highlight : Daughter.
Wicked Posted July 9 Posted July 9 No, it's not for me and I only really revisit albums I didn't care for like that in Q4 of the year. I'll relisten to it then.
rhaenyra Posted July 9 Posted July 9 The first and only time I've listened to Cowboy Carter was when I stopped close to halfway thru the album. Honestly, I couldn't take it anymore and it felt more like a chore trying to listen to her album. Beyoncé is not an albums girl, she's more like a singles girl 16 Carriages still on repeat tho
BrattyBottom Posted July 9 Posted July 9 I never started. Something about the whole thing (and Beyonce herself) just feels wrong. I'm not good at separating art from the artists.
