Miley and it's not even close. Every other ex-Disney star could only dream of a career peak as ubiquitous as Miley's and she's still smashing 18 years later :suburban: Bionic was my 2nd favorite album of 2010 after Can't Be Tamed, though!!

I think everyone forgets how young Miley still is (31) because she's been around for so long. She just reached a new career high with Flowers, whereas, Xtina is now a legacy act (forever an early naughties legend though).

Christina. Miley may have more longevity but she's never had an era as big as Stripped or Xtinas debut and there isn't anything about her artistry that commends the respect that Xtina does for her voice.

It doesn't. Miley was a joke that era.

That's your subjective experience/opinion. The reality, again rationality, is that BANGERZ was ubiquitous and bigger than Stripped and is still more talked about today

Miley. Christina had a respectable run from 1999 to 2006 but Miley has the highest certified song from 2000's (PITUSA), one the most iconic eras of the 2010s (Bangerz) and the biggest female hit of the 2020s so far (Flowers), not to mention the cultural phenomenon that was Hannah Montana. After the GRAMMYs and the Beyoncé collab, it's clear she has finally earned the respect of the industry.

Miley. Most of the singers from 2005-2015 have surpassed Xtina already, but people sometimes don't see it cuz of nostalgia.

They are successful in very different ways. Miley has some huge hits, but no iconic/huge/memorable era. That 2013 era was somewhat a joke. Hannah Montana is a different thing.

Overall though, I guess it's Miley taking everything into account.

What exactly has Christina done in the past.... 15 years for her to even be a legitimate choice? :rip:

The way ATRL wants to rewrite history is hilarious. You're delusional to a sick degree.

Are you talking about yourself?

Not you want to erase the... VMA 2013 performance, the massive success of We Can't Stop and Wrecking Ball. The mega success of that era is anything Xtina can only dream of... Stripped is a cute girl but Bangerz is THAT girl.

The album was supported by the singles "We Can't Stop", "Wrecking Ball", and "Adore You". "We Can't Stop" peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100, and "Wrecking Ball" became Cyrus' first number-one single in the United States. Both singles' music videos were once the fastest videos to reach 100 million views on Vevo, and the latter won the award for Video of the Year at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards. Cyrus further promoted the album with the international Bangerz Tour in 2014. Bangerz and its promotional efforts are lauded as a turning point in Cyrus' career, in which her public image successfully evolved from being a child star who was synonymous with her former television series Hannah Montana, to being a contemporary artist in her own right. Cyrus' controversial and sexually-charged behavior during this time resulted in several defining moments in pop culture, including her polarizing performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

Are you telling me Wrecking Ball or We Can't Stop are more remembered than Beautiful or Dirrty? Maybe compare Bangerz era to ARTPOP era but Stripped is in a way different league in every aspect: commercial success, cultural impact, influence in other artists, even critical acclaim.

Spotify daily streams:

Wrecking Ball - 374,899

We Can't Stop - 285,798

Beautiful - 88,448

Dirrty - 70,423

So in terms of them actually being listened to… yeah.

Anyway, Miley in almost every fathomable way!

You and @visions are comparing songs that were released 23 years ago during the physical era to songs that were released at the peak of the streaming era. Let's see if Wrecking Ball or We Can't Stop can pull off those numbers in 12 years. :michael: You don't like Christina, it's fine, but Beautiful is a very impactful song that stil gets sung in talent shows everywhere and it has a powerful message that has reached generations. And some stupid streaming stats are not going to change that. Can we stop pretending Spotify is this big receipt of success or cultural impact? SZA performed to an empty Glastonbury while Avril and Sugababes filled it out with ease. Now compare their listeners on Spotify.
