All the albums released this year had their entire initial runs centered on her. Be it Billie, Ariana, Beyoncé, Charli. All of the thinkpieces from all over the internet, all of the obsession coming from all the other fanbases. The constant claims of an impending downfall that never happens. All the media coverage, fan discussions, and think pieces about her. They are quite ubiquitous. Her actions, both personal and professional, consistently generate widespread interest and debate, more than any other artist is capable of since Beyoncé in 2016 or Lady Gaga in 2010. Sometimes I feel like I am living in a bad fan fiction where Taylor is the mary sue self insert character. She can't really fail at all. Everyone gets asked about her. She literally won AOTY and then the next week her boyfriend won the Superbowl and they kissed on the field. The ex-president is kind of of obsessed with her. No the hate is not always a "reaction," I guarantee you Taylor gets brought up by people that don't like her far too frequently for it to be an isolated incident. Obviously fans bring her up, that makes sense. The phenomenon being observed is here the frequency with which people dedicate towards posting their dissent towards her. The same people who wish death on her on their fav artist's album listening party. The people who compare every album that comes out to taylor's. The people who make threads here to get her dragged. People who share a single video of her having fun a million times because they think she deserves of receiving hate for *checks notes* having fun. People who comment on her relationships calling her slurs. People who bring her up in conversations that have nothing to do with her. People who accuse her of suing other artist who have a breakthrough. 2 5
