TheBoss Posted August 9 Posted August 9 "Since high school, ******* hated, we been ignoring it all Now it's up with ******* talking spicy, I'm warring with y'all And I ain't really letting up on y'all till the coroner call Bye sis, funny thing about it, you can't look me in my eye, sis But let's get back to how my life is, you hoes is a puzzlin' case It clearly doesn't matter if you younger or double my age You ******* is barking too much, I wish I could muzzle your face Karma will deal with you, though, I promise, your judgement awaits" WHEEW 1
ariesgroove Posted August 9 Posted August 9 this was great! i've never listened to a full latto project before this was a great idea of what she offers, just back to back bops
KatyPrismSpirit Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Damn this is kinda bland. I had to skip through basically every song. Only Settle Down and Good 2 You are semi-cute. 2

TryMe Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Hmmmmm, for these type of songs, the beats need to go harder. I like H&M, Shrimp & Grits and Settle Down. I removed this album from my library.

Gossip_Boy Posted August 9 Posted August 9 This is surprisingly decent. Production is really strong and I like the summer vibe it has. Everything feels very coherent and tied together but also distinguishes itself. The features are also great here too. 1
Gossip_Boy Posted August 9 Posted August 9 After giving it a couple of spins, favourite songs are: H&M, Georgia Peach, Shrimp & Grits, Blick Sum, Liquor, Squeeze, Possession, S/O to Me. This is genuinely the best female rap album I've heard in a hot minute. The (mostly mid) singles didn't do it justice at all.
GeminiCat Posted August 9 Posted August 9 (edited) This is pretty easily the best female rap album of the year. Features ate, transitions are fire, production and sonically cohesive. This is going to be on regular rotation for me. Edited August 9 by GeminiCat 3
FOCK Posted August 9 Posted August 9 3 hours ago, Alex said: this is her best song. Agreed, this is the standout on the album & the only track that was really impressive/memorable to me. It's the best thing I've heard from Latto. I appreciate the transitions, but there's little that differentiated the tracks to me on first and likely only listen. There's a lack of variety in delivery & subject matter that doesn't do it for me, & not really any standout bars to speak of. S/O was great because she was actually saying something. More creative delivery & production could've taken some of the mid-tracks to "great". It's still a solid project & an infinitely better offering than what either Spice or Megan have put out this year. I don't think it's better than JT's release. If the album has made anything clear, it's that she's done herself a disservice by engaging with Ice tbh, they are not comparable. 1
orange22 Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Miss Cheetah Print Panties kinda ended the other girls with this one huh?
EarStyle Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Gave this a second listen in the gym. She really really snapped. 35 minutes ago, FOCK said: Agreed, this is the standout on the album & the only track that was really impressive/memorable to me. It's the best thing I've heard from Latto. So many diff flows, I love the more vulnerable love tracks. A lot of sneak disses and lines that caught me the second listen in headphones in the gym.
