Hmm, release dates:

SIO 8/18

WANEGBT 8/13

Mine 8/4 but it was supposed to be 8/16 till the leak

Change 8/8 though it wasn't really the lead single

Quote

44 Feels 96 (debut)

Hmm.

They don't even need release a remix video...let the original become the most viewed and extend its lead by 1B

And it can do that in 2 months easily

Is Shape of You coming to outdo Closer's chart performance? :deadbanana3:

If Jay Z releases on 30 June, that'll probably force Closer into recurrency before 52 weeks, much less 52 weeks in the Top 40. Unless he keeps all of his songs on Tidal, and even then if he releases the tracks for sale elsewhere. I really hope Closer can get to 52 weeks in the Top 40, since it set so many longevity records at toward the Top of the Hot 100.

Despacito is far from an organic success. It was literally repackaged for an American & English language audience. With Bieber thrown into the equation. Very calculated.

TELL HIM.

Everyone is just mad because Ed has had more success this year than all their pop girl faves combined over the last few years (Excluding Adele/Rihanna)

Not at all what it is. Justin heard the song and wanted to be part of it for fun, not to score another hit...

#4 is possible, sure. But you should stop looking at iTunes so much :emofish:

Spotify increase today was very nice. Next songs increase on Mondays, but that was a pretty big jump

Bieber couldn't even bother to learn the words to the song. It definitely gives me label-pushed teas.

#6 is good, but I was really hoping for Top5 for Wild Thoughts :'(

Hopefully it can have some longevity and rise there!

No. Bieber wanted to be on the track after hearing the clubs reaction to the song in Columbia. He also doesn't speak Spanish, so not remembering Spanish lyrics is meh

So why be on a Spanish song? Y'all love to talk about cultural appropriation for other artist though.

Based on recent trends of long week #1's

July 8 - Despacito's 7th week at #1

July 15 - 8th

July 22 - 9th

July 29 - 10th

August 5 - 11th

Agust 12 - 12th

August 19 - 13th

August 26 - 14th

September 2 - 15th ???

September 9 - 16th ???

September 16 - *breaks Mariah's record*  ???

Taylor needs to release at least August 11th or 18th Friday exactly to dethrone Despacito...if she releases later than August 18th, Despacito is on course for Mariah's record

She best to.

Taylor better come through or someone else

Despacito is not lasting another 11 weeks :rip: the burnout will increase rapidly around the 9th week plus its streaming is taking small hits at the moment.

Despacito has definitely peaked too early to challenge for the big records.

And I think the heavy burn on radio will come quickly causing it to collapse due to the language and the fact it kinda gets grating quite quickly.

Yeah, Hello suffered from this. I thought it would get 14-18 weeks. Maybe had it had a release date three or four additional weeks prior to 25, and had AC not turned over to Christmas music as soon as Adele soared up the charts there, Hello would've hung around longer.

Hello just had the problem that it sold 1M in the first week. That obviously takes away from longevity
