Popular Post Virgos Groove Posted June 18 Popular Post Posted June 18 (edited) No disrespect, I feel like this says more about him than it does about the music scene. Yes, there are many artists who don't put in the effort to create a body of work, but if you can only name the most famous artist on Earth and the girl who performed at your tour, maybe you should get familiar with more new artists. It means most people don't know that others are releasing albums too and that's kinda correct if you look at numbers Only Billie and SZA are other 2 who got actual GP attention
Vermillion Posted June 18 Posted June 18 This…makes no sense. If he included Adele in this blanket statement and meant sales it would at least be closer to resembling reality. I'd suggest media training to attempt clearer answers but at his point in his career given his legacy, he must not care. If there actually is a longer answer in Variety on popular artists moving to EP's and singles that change happened for especially newer Top 40 artists as the download era downturned and streaming took off in the early 2010's over a decade ago. Maybe millennials and Gen Z aren't reading Variety articles so it doesn't matter that this response is hopelessly out of date? Maybe he's just referring to newer artists that are just targeting Top 40? Except Taylor's not new and took off before the download era peaked.

ATRL Moderator Bloo Posted June 18 ATRL Moderator Posted June 18 Friendly reminder that that when an older musician threw shade at Taylor, y'all lifted said artist up and besmirched any member who criticized them. I cannot wait to see y'all be consistent. 10 1 1
