pride4jc1222 Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Fun fact: If Please Please Please goes to #1, it would not be the first time that a Carpenter reached #1 with Please in its title. The Carpenters reached #1 in early 1975, remaking The Marvelette's 1961 hit Please Mr. Postman. January 25, 1975 01 02 Please Mr. Postman - The Carpenters (1st and only week at #1) 02 03 Laughter In The Rain - Neil Sedaka 03 01 Mandy - Barry Manilow 04 11 Fire - The Ohio Players 05 06 Boogie On Reggae Woman - Stevie Wonder 06 21 You're No Good - Linda Ronstadt 07 08 One Man Woman/One Woman Man - Paul Anka & Odia Coates 08 09 Morning Side Of The Mountain - Donny & Marie Osmond 09 10 Never Can Say Goodbye - Gloria Gaynor 10 14 Pick Up The Pieces - Average White Band 2
Julia Fox Posted June 21 Posted June 21 I still have hope she reach the #1 like if you look at the streams numbers she reached 31M on Spotify and Post/Morgan 17M and she was ahead on AM all week. She still may have a chance + sales were just the same. Radio on the other hand that's the main issue but I'm confident that will be enough to keep PPP #1 by a small margin but #1 please please please 1

RoseBud Posted June 21 Posted June 21 I thought number 1 didn't really matter and now it seems it does....that's doing a Billie 1

I mean, Trollz peaked at #1 on the Hot 100. Does anyone remember that song? Likewise, songs like Don't Speak and Stairway to Heaven never charted. I'm pretty sure they're well known to most than #1-peaking Trollz.

But well… keep playing the passive aggressive card on Sabrina thread I guess? 3 2
slw84 Posted June 22 Posted June 22 Would have been so great had they planned it carefully for Espresso to hit #1 with Please debuting #2/3 anyways and then ascending to #1 later. Oh well. Good for Sabrina. You're still the one is a classic and peaked at #2.
pride4jc1222 Posted June 22 Posted June 22 Please Please Please is #1 this week and A Bar Song is next.
fridayteenage Posted June 22 Posted June 22 First 2024 album with two multi-week top 5 hits! Looks like no 2023 album did that either.
bad guy Posted June 22 Posted June 22 Huge for Sabrina 6/10 HMHAS songs still charting. Oh the AOTY that you are
Doctor Dick Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Espresso deserved. But Sabrina deserves a #1 regardless what song.
