Nobody can be 100% progressive on every issue all the time. With that in mind, why don't you pause for a moment, take a look within, and ask yourself "What is the most conservative thing about me?" Perhaps you believe in traditional gender roles, think that the rich deserve greater tax cuts, or you like listening to Taylor Swift? I don't really feel like you can pick and choose from both sides and still be coherent. I guess the issue I'm "less leftist" on is prison abolition. I've read the Angela Davis book and completely agree prisons don't work, but I have yet to see someone explain how abolitionism would work in practical terms. It just feels like a shortcut to vigilantism. We're also not about to bring back past ways of "justice" like torture/corporal punishment, so... what's the solution?
