BOAF top 4 :jonny:

Posted

You're almost there, BOAF, keep flying to #1:jonny2:

PPP :clap3:

Congrats, Dua, for that #1

I'm surprised Genesis is doing as well, I didn't think the Spotify numbers where that good? Happy though, would be great to see Raye succeed.

Do we know if 360 will crack the Top 40 this week?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe none of Eminem's #1s here have stayed at the top for more than one week. It'll be interesting to see if he gets his first multi-week chart topper.

Espresso came back to #1 on Spotify and this week the vinyls/cassette/CD's from Espresso were shipped so they will surely fight for that spot

Do we know if it's close between Bon Jovi and Charli?

Posted (edited)

They need to come up with a rule for these greatest hits albums. Counting them made sense in the physical and digital eras since you had to buy them like you do with albums, but now they're just glorified playlists. It's making everything so stale. :deadbanana4:

But, hey, the fact that Taylor is charting so high without having ever dropped one just makes her domination look even more impressive.

And Bon Jovi need to MOVE (feat. Grace Jones & Tems)

2.5k units ahead. I think Charli'll take it as i'd imagine Bon Jovi's streaming equivalent units to be next to nothing and Monday's chart update is always physical loaded.

1 Bon Jovi - Forever (18,587) [16,854 physicals, 1,322 downloads, 411 streaming] *
2 Charli XCX - BRAT (16,219) *
3 Taylor Swift - THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (7,956)
4 Billie Eilish - HIT ME HARD AND SOFT (6,017)
5 AURORA - What Happened to the Heart? (4,045) *

She's still beat CRASH's first week though in 3 days (16,117 was Crash's opening week)

Charli better ******* get that #1

I guess that's also why they dropped deluxe on Monday instead of Friday

So proud of Charli. Her outdoing her "sellout era" with her most acclaimed album to date, while making the music she wants to make has to feel so affirming.

Imo the real issue in the uk album chart is that - for some god knows what reason - they discount the streams of the two biggest tracks on every album, cutting them down to the average of the rest (maybe to differentiate from the singles chart? Idk).

This means that it's really hard for new albums with less than three big hits to get a foothold while ofc greatest hits albums are really not troubled by that at all.

If they got rid of that, it would probably look a lot more like the billboard 200, except there'd still be the odd britpop band going in the top 5 and then tanking in week two

Go buy the album UK Brats!!! :duca:

Wish I could help from the US !

Charlie will overtake Bon Jovi due to streaming... Bon Jovi's numbers are high due to all the physicals being shipped on release date, they won't have a lot of streaming units. x

Is there a physical / streaming breakdown for brat?

The UK charts doesn't reward streams with much EAS. Considering most of brat's physical sales were probably pre-orders too, I think it'll be a tight race.

CRASH's breakdown:

5,339 CDs, 5,351 vinyl albums, 1,106 cassette, 496 digital downloads and 3,825 sales-equivalent streams.
