Charts are meaningless, how is PPP gonna hit #1 before espresso? And how is that racist guy #1 again? Who listens to that outside of country fans?

It's Post Malone song but yall seem to just bypass that and keep referring to it as Morgan Wallen. He's just featured.

Wow posty's comeback is real! I wish  Sweet honey buckiing was his 3rd #1 this year

Why would her team waste ALL that momentum for a #1 debut y'all? :rip:

I think her team is truly being smart af and not discounting that song the WEEK AFTER RELEASE just for a #1 LMAOOO!!!

Not too long ago YALL were complaining that they were letting go of Espresso too quickly, until y'all saw Please Please Please doing INSANELY well. Like it or not they're making the right decision lmao.

NO :rip: It was a huge mistake to not push PPP for a #1 debut.

When Espresso is blocked in a few weeks by another song pulling crazy streams like Kendrick's Not like us for example, then what?

Charts are unpredictable and no one knows what streaming smash could explode in the next weeks

Espresso is still far away from Post & Morgan. Her best chance was PPP this week.

Now keep in mind I can't stand the song. It's so lame and I'm tired of it number one but ppl act like it's Morgan song when it's Post Malone's.

Remember that this is the streaming era. Labels cannot be complacent and talk about how "there's always next week" because songs can blow up and debut or jump to #1 at any moment. Remember when SZA's team decided to not push "Kill Bill" until after Anti-Hero's eighth week at #1? Then Flowers blew up immediately after, and later Last Night, resulting in SZA's team having to push the song for three months, until it finally went #1 because of a remix with another A-list artist.

And yeah TOTC significantly underestimated how many streams Please Please Please needed on the last three days to go #1. But I think most of the other public sources said Please Please Please was going or challenging #1, so overall misinformation all around.

Her label kinda fumbled this. Taylor Nation would never. Ugh!

At the end of the day, both songs are better and more iconic than that atrocious #1 from that racist person. :gaycat5:

Hope she gets it eventually tho. :gaycat4:

Hopefully one or both Sabrinas go #1 eventually. For songs that topped US Spotify weekly, highest peakers that as of yet did not top the Hot 100:
Please Please Please - 29.639 million
Nonstop 24.973 - blocked by himself
Espresso 23.302

:WAP:  Oh Lordy someone screwed up big time here.  Lets blame Interscope....they are just not good at juggling.

But what if #1 wasn't their goal!? Y'all stay confusing your Stan culture dreams with artist's goals :bibliahh:

THEY'RE the ones that get paid if the song goes #1, not y'all!!! They have more of an incentive to push their songs to #1 of aaaallll people. Like be soooo f*cking forreal right now.

I don't think Sabrina cares to go #1, and wants to set a new path for artists that way. Please quit the para-social antics and realize Sabrina doesn't mind JUST being in the top 5. :jonnycat:

This is a weird take. Of course artists care about hitting #1. This is a business and an industry. Sales and charts matter whether they talk about it publicly or not.

I mean it's not that crazy of a take lmao. Being a huge Beyonce stan we have seen all the crazy antics she's done, and it's evident af that these labels intentionally pull the craziest sh*t because they have their OWN goals.

If someone like us whose unpaid and AREN'T professionals in this field can see the obvious. They can see the same sh*t but MORE and further more in depth. It's evident their intentions are different than Stan culture's. So maybe this is what they want.

She literally JUST released this bop exactly during the peak of Espresso, that's already weird af in itself and something that we wouldn't have guessed. Being #1 on debut week is something that most MAIN artists dream of. Sabrina is NOT a MPG. So it makes sense why they would have a different trajectory for her rn. It's not too crazy to think about girl.

No one, even her team or label, expected PPP to do so good. That's why it's radio spins are so so low. They only released it to make some noise for the album. When they saw PPP doing insane, they had nothing prepared to do. Of course they could have done a discount on iTunes or something else, but i'm sure they got surprised.

Damn, is she really going to be blocked? PPP is doing crazy good but I doubt they were expecting such a success from day 1 so I can't blame them for having nothing prepared. :lmao:

But not even a discount?  I'm sure Megan Thee Stallion didn't expect HISS to be a contender for #1 but when her team saw it was getting crazy streams they released like 10 versions in the middle of tracking week (instrumental, a capella, sped, slow, chopped and screwed, etc) all of them discounted it to help it to reach #1 against Jack Harlow

Please Please Please just needed a discount and maybe instrumental/a capella versions and that would have been more than enough

Yes, as i said they could have done a discount. I think they need some extra permissions from producers to release remixes or instrumentals, so i'm sure her team didn't even planned to release something like that.

Are we forgetting that TeamSabrina said "Espresso is close to #1" and promoted it extensively and that Sabrina also promoted Espresso too? Clearly Sabrina and her team's goal was to get a #1. Not trying to drag Sabrina either, all artists would care about getting a #1 if they're close. But denying Sabrina and her team wanted it is wrong.

They just messed up by promoting the wrong song to surpass Post/Morgan.

For the first day of the tracking week PPP did 5.2 million on US Spotify. If it does 5 million during the whole week, while staying #1 on Apple, could it have a chance to reach #1 next week?

Also if they drop Feather on radio and they start to play PPP it could help too.

So Sabrina fumbled that neither PPP or Espresso is going #1 this week?

Messy :rip:

We need a Sabrina hybrid song with the airplay of "Feather", the streams of "Please Please Please" and the sales of "Espresso"
