Richie.Valdez Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Amazing, I was at her Mexico City concert where she sang this for the very first time on May 2011 5

Gaga has the mind of a mastermind for making the music palatable to straight people

Is that why BTW was the 3rd Most Streamed 2011 Album yesterday, 2nd for Female Albums after 21?

kwek_kwek Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I remember, Judas was doing poorly on Spotify. It was being streamed less than 100k daily and now, it's the most streamed somg daily on BTW. I need MTN to go viral. 1
DiabeticGrandpa Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Is 800k streams something to flex about? Genuine question
Mirkomonster Posted June 8 Posted June 8 One of the best pop Song of all time Instrumental, lyrics, chorus, bridge, choreo, video... ICONIC 1

Roberto Posted June 16 Posted June 16 (edited) Can it return to Billboard??? In its original run it did like 8 weeks but had a good peak. Edited June 16 by Roberto
SweetOreosOfHeaven Posted June 21 Posted June 21 BTW (album) is really standing the test of time. Crazy how Judas is doing almost tenfold what it used to do with no signs of slowing down. And then also a lot of deepcuts have great recurrents like Bloody Mary (obviously), Government Hooker, Heavy Metal Lover, and who knows which song is next. It's cementing itself as a classic album and era. 5

charot Posted June 21 Posted June 21 You know it's a hit when niches on tiktok are fighting who owns the song now (just like Bloody Mary).
MatiRod Posted June 21 Posted June 21 (edited) I'll never forget when this came out me and my straight guy friends (back when I was closeted) were dancing to it at a house party and a girl came up to us and said "why are you guys dancing to this, this music is for (f-slur)", and then we all stopped and it was super awkward. Prior to that, Gaga had been ok to play at house parties and dance along to even for straight guys. I remember my straight guy friends going OFF to "Telephone" and knowing every word. She was just cool and universally OK to like and listen to. But "Judas" was the song that felt like it derailed her 'cool' factor and her ability to get smash after smash moreso than "Born This Way" IMO, or maybe it was the two together with BTW starting the process. In retrospect it makes me super sad that our carefree joy was snuffed out by someone else's homophobia, and that Gaga was walking the walk when it came to LGBT support and yet it changed her image and her popularity suffered as a result. So yes, I am very surprised that it's doing so well in streaming now when it seemed like a bad single choice at the time. Time the ultimate truth teller I suppose! Edited June 21 by MatiRod 3
