the lemonade cover? dont think so. renaissance cover was definitely a bigger cultural splash and arguably better than the lemonade cover. i remember when the cover was revealed and it was so different than what anybody expected. it felt like something shifted… even tho i didnt like the album that much.

So unserious. Love Bey but some photography classics and historical shots known worldwide and this journalist setting her up for clicks by making her the sole mainstream pop culture choice

Period.

The fumes already. :lmao: Bey's iconography is on another level. She knows how to create impactful and memorable images - like MJ and The Beatles. Not many arTistS have that skill.

Kind of funny when you see the list and everything else that is on it. I feel like for a pop culture related moment to land on a list with such history altering events, it should have been a moment that had legit worldwide impact, and not a meme-d horse :skull:

If we're going have a Bey moment on the list, should have been ST (that actually had an impact in changing something).

That's a very lovely thing of them to say but putting this boring ass album anywhere near photos like the famous Tiananmen Square "tank man" photo is just disgraceful.

Don't get me wrong it is a great cover art but let's find a modicum of sanity here I beg of you.

I am genuinely flabbergasted about this. How is Renaissance album cover in any way shape or form at the same level as the Falling Man or the man that stood in front of the tanks in Tiananmen Square? I can think of several important moments in USA pop culture history that have more cultural impact and importance to the modern age than that.

But reading the article on why they chose Renaissance cover of all things seems.. pretty whatever. So okay Renaissance, you go girl lol.
