These two were the biggest Latin Pop artists during 2000s. They have TONS of smashas and are noted for their impact on genre. It's time for ATRL to decide: who is THE queen?

I think Ricky Martin is the bigger celebrity so he feels like the bigger artist, but Enrique lasted much longer and tbh looking at his stats he actually seems quite underrated, I forgot just how many bangers he had in the 2010s

Ricky for sure, especially in Latin America :rip:

- Livin La Vida Loca

- Vuelve

- Tal vez

- María

- Pégate

- Tu Recuerdo

- Lo Mejor de mi Vida Eres Tú

- She Bangs

- La Bomba

- Asignatura Pendiente

- La Copa de la Vida

Not to mention his most recent stuff, reggaeton and whatever. Bigger classics, in my opinion.

No, he's not lol. Even in the US, UK, AUS, France and NZ, he's had more than one Top 10 hit. Before LLVL, Maria and The Cup of Life were huge international hits that managed to penetrate areas like South Asia, North Africa and the Middle East where local artists dominated back then.,

I still can't believe these two songs both went #1 in Australia and  they were both year end #1s in 1997 and 1998. They don't even use Spanish/Spanglish music at all. :deadbanana2:

Ricky Martin hands down.

Maria alone is bigger and better than Enrique's discography.

In the US Enrique has the slight edge. He was able to bank a song with thee Whitney Houston and their joint tour, Ricky opens for Enrique.

I personally prefer Ricky though. His voice, performing style and classic hits vida loca, she bangs, the cup of life >>>

I was always more familiar with Ricky Martin, in comparison to Enrique Iglesias. And he does have a stronger legacy, also, if not just because of "Livin' La Vida Loca." I never really hear much about or of Enrique.

Having ventured into their discographies over the years, I find Ricky's to be better.

Enrique probably comes out on top when measuring Billboard chart points or whatever but LLVL was one of those singular, era-defining cultural moments. I don't think we'd be referring to that period as a Latin pop explosion without Ricky.

Enrique had more longevity but his stardom never matched Ricky's in the late '90s.

Enrique stuck around longer in NA/EU, but Ricky seems to have LA/SA covered.

And only one could get it. Ricky. He's apparently a total freak.

More classics Enrique biggest impact especially during the 2nd Boom of Latin Music = Ricky

seen them live as well. Not to compare, but Enrique gives me male Shakira vibes (minimalist production just him and his band.) Ricky gave me jlo vibes big production lots of colors lights & special effects.

but it's too close to call their stats are so similar

I haven't measured them, but I'd happily do so.
