I can't see much of anything post Confessions. They will touch on the divorce, Sticky & Sweet Tour, Superbowl, and Celebration Tour but I think that's it.

I do think this will be one of the biggest flops in her career. If only she lets someone else direct the movie and still stay heavily involved.

Honestly, and I mean this with zero shade, she was born to play that role and would've easily been the best choice and slayed. It's a pity it won't happen.

Ending the film at the BAT means that the story would end on a false note of her supposed triumph when, at the time, she had not yet actually earned the respect she craved from the industry. You have to go through her survival of the incredibly significant Erotica era, which she has admitted to being one of the hardest times in her life. Coming out the other end, landing Evita, releasing Ray of Light... that was when she came full circle.

 

While it may be a challenge to pack her story into a tight timeframe, a far more suitable ending of the film would be after the birth of her first child.

A biopic is not a documentary. Going from her birth until 1998 all in a movie sounds like a really expensive flop in the making honestly. 
 

That said i always said a good movie for her would be from the moment she lost her mother to the moment she became one. Thats her real full circle moment right there.

I think people wouldn't see Madonna. They would see Gaga cosplaying Madonna. It wouldn't do anything for both of them.

Please guys, Madonna and Gaga have nothing in common and I say that as a fan (sometimes more or less fervent) of both. Julia literally had to go through a boot camp to make sure she can sing, dance and looks reasonably like Madonna.

Give or take a few years and we have the same idea.

 

I maintain. The Blond Ambition is not the place to end a movie of her life unless we're just going to get another lame origins story. We have two and I really don't want another one.

Curious if this is being conceived as an origins story tracing her early years and struggles in NYC, then ending with her rise to superstardom at the '84 VMAs. I think that biopic format would probably make for a better film, especially if Julia's in the role.
