I'm actually excited for this. She really is that girl now isn't she? Serving bops and I love how she's coming with a similar vibe. I can only handle pop girls with a consistent and distinct sound, I fear! :ryan3:

She's coming :jonnycat: the "espresso" era has been so god damn good

She has huge potential to become the next MPG whew

Sabrina's sound is catchy retro pop + cheeky R&B (like the Singular era + Nonsense). Glad she seems to find her sound now and i already know this album will wash emails for me :jonny5:

yeah she needs to capitalize on the Espresso hype and I'm kinda glad she isnt just milking Espresso because that could be a curse and she ends up being a one hit wonder. She needs to use this traction even if it means sacrificing Espresso potentially going #1.

Tate kinda had the same issue tbh. She focused too much on Greedy I think and then ppl just didnt care about anything she had to release after that even though Exes was also kinda a solid bop

There's no way her label didn't make her fine tune some recently recorded songs and make this an album lol. They'd be crazy to not capitalize on this

Or her deja vu

I don't think she should release anything new until mid July. Espresso is still rising in a lot of markets, and in its 5th week at the top of the UK charts. Do you think they've given up on a US #1?

It's kinda funny how Island used to be trashed around here the last couple of years (mostly by Demi stans), but now they have two of the biggest breakthroughs of the year right now (Sabrina and Chappell). Truly having the last laugh

Island is still a bad label. There's a reason they only have 1 successful act right now (Sabrina) and 1 moderate successful act (Chappel). I've followed Island since Demi started working with them (2015) and I've seen singles not being sent to radio, tours not promoted at all, viral moments being wasted and the list goes on and on. Not to mention that even Sabrina stans have complained about them at some point.

Demi's last two eras were treated terribly. So was Shawn's last era (and he was coming off Señorita's era). You are now living in a "great" moment for Island but a few years ago, Island had no CEO and artists received no help from them so if they wanted promo, music videos, whatever, the artists themselves had to pay for it. Many artists under Island couldn't release those years and those who could because they had the money to do it (Demi and Shawn) flopped terribly because the label did almost nothing for them and their eras barely lasted 1 week after the albums dropped.

Most of Demi stans' complaints come from the last two eras. Demi's last era received non-existent promo. People didn't even know she was on tour when it happened. Her lead single was not sent to radio, none of the songs were even sent to rock/alt radio despite being rock, they completely ignored 29 going viral. They did a great job during Confident/Tell Me You Love Me (they could still have done better but anyway), but they are also excellent at treating eras terribly if they don't trust the material or see some success before pushing the song (which is why they took forever to push Sabrina's Nonsense).

You guys were not in the wrong, definitely. Just mentioning that with all of the criticism and problems they still have the two biggest female breakthrough artists of this year and it's very unexpected knowing their fame, so they are laughing to the bank

Phew, if she is smart she is announcing the album next and isn't dropping a new single already. Espresso is still way too big.

tbh the more music the better, emails came out in 2022 and the GP treats consistent releases wayyy better than artist who take risky hiatuses (that aren't facing overexposure)

All eyes are on her right now so it would be wise to keep dropping considering an album from her is definitely due this year, but another single wouldn't hurt.

I just hope we get some more pop-R&B cuts on this next album. We need another Honeymoon Fades :jonny2:

y'all need to understand that she has organic demand. this isn't gonna be a 1 hit think, and she is definitely not gonna be dua lipa'd. gen-z is interested in her and she's milking off the swifties and that is a lotttt of people

something tells me we could be getting both the album announcement and the new single this week. her store is closed meaning that there's gonna be new merch.

she should definitely release the single with the album pre order, get those pre saves coming while her name is trending

I always wondered if that sound playing at the end of the Espresso MV had anything to do with the follow-up single and apparently it does, but I think it's too soon for a new single.

Yes! She has been so good. I'm ready to go from casual listener to fan so hope what's next is fun!
