See and that's whats wrong with a lot of music nowadays, its too short!

 

Tiktok is the main culprit of it because anything that becomes a hit based off that is catered to a crowd that has the attention span of a goldfish. I'm sorry but a bridge is exactly what's needed to make a song complete imo. Most songs without one just feel like a flash in the pan which is a shame because they are quite enjoyable except for when they end too abruptly 

 

Challenge to these newer artists, bring back longer songs, do that challenge

I saw this interview and my eyes were rolling when she said that. I get that if a song doesn't lend itself to be certain length, don't force it but making nothing but 1 or 2 minute songs is just lazy and shows you don't value storytelling and world-building at all, which is okay because we need short easy listening bops too, but the one thing her music is lacking is story and intrigue and it's because she never allows her songs and to flourish and expand.

I think you should think about what the song needs and not what you need. If the song is perfect with 2:30 minutes, fine. But a 6 minute song can be perfect as well.

Come on promo!If the song needs a Kraftwerk-like robot voice in one of the choruses, then you need to give it to the song! And the "Part of me belongs to you" is one of the best parts, why would someone think it's not necessary?
