I am surprised that the Swifties are so quick to defend him though. I know they don't give a flying **** about misogyny (unless it's directly applicable to Taylor), homophobia, racism or any other form of bigotry, but his team mate reduced Taylor to being "his team mate's girlfriend" and Travis thinks that's completely fine.

I think he's put in a difficult position here. I wouldn't expect him to come out and scorch-earth condemn the speech because that could cause problems with his relationship with his teammate. Regardless of differing views they both have an expectation to play well together.

Homophobia and misogyny are not just any opinions and should not be tolerated in a society. If I were to say such things about certain other minorities, the free speech faction would immediately cancel me. It's just disgusting how many people, especially men, think this way and even sadder that some minorities support such men even though they themselves are the ones being targeted.
