Some in here saying it doesn't matter now, but if she told this back in 2022 she would have been dragged to hell and back for being a 'superspreader'. The pandemic was still officially classified as a public health emergency of international concern 4
MilanY Posted May 26 Posted May 26 Does she want an award for it? A lot of people worked REAL jobs while having covid, this entitled individual thinks she is special for real. 7 1

Plus the argument would have made sense if it was mandatory showing a Covid test in order to attend, everybody could have Covid in the attendace, restrictions were lifted by that time for a reason.

No. Keep dreaming. Nobody cares about Covid anymore. Canceling the shows would have been worse. I commend her and respect her for it, as long as she was being careful & taking care of herself as well. Edited May 27 by Black Sunflower 9

Cite one expert that said it's okay to attend a large open space event if you're covid positive. 1

dumbsparce Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Wouldn't be surprised if she thought it was ok to perform cause her pharma buddies probably used her as one of the first specimens to try the vaccines on. 3
Tovitov Posted May 27 Posted May 27 (edited) Something absolutely insane about acting like Gaga gave anyone in the audience Covid. Even when she walked through the crowd, there's literally a barricade/guards blocking people from getting near her. Even under the most strict Covid procedures, there's literally no way anybody in the audience got it from her. At worst, Gaga gave it to her dancers/band. However, more likely, someone backstage was Asymptomatic when the tour started, gave it to someone else and it spread until it reached Gaga. And a reality check for some of y'all, I'd bet real money that Covid is absolutely common on these world wide tours now. Taylor and Beyonce probably felt like crap at some point during their tours, had to shot gun Ibuprofen and chalked it up to exhaustion. It's endemic now, you can't escape it. The only idiots are people crying about this in a world of billions of people who don't and would laugh at you. Does it feel cool to be in the minority or something? You know why it holds? Because nobody ******* cares outside of stan twitter/stan culture. Not a soul. Even Japan is praising her work ethic for this and they were the strictest about covid at the end. Accept it and move on Edited May 27 by Black Sunflower

1989 Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Why would she say this out loud? Honestly, the only way this could've even been remotely 'okay' is if her team new prior (and had taken the proper precautions themselves) , she was masked up anytime she wasn't onstage, and she didn't have meet and greets with fans for those shows.
Janet Posted May 27 Posted May 27 People crying about this when it was essentially an outdoor event? if you didn't want to risk getting covid in 2022, maybe don't attend a 50k plus event?

concubine Posted May 27 Posted May 27 What a disgusting, out of touch woman. How many Americans have lost someone to Covid? Why would she even share this? 1
Vegvisir Posted May 27 Posted May 27 All the faux outrage in here because Gaga's back and already making certain singer/songwriters look basic by mere comparison I went the whole pandemic without catching COVID once. I was vaccinated 3x by the time the Chromatica Ball Tour started, didn't leave my apartment for a week leading up to flying to Toronto for my show, wore a mask for the whole flight... and immediately caught COVID from my partner's Dad the next day after arriving. I was feeling better before the show, but I was still testing positive... and after spending thousands on flights, hotels, the show tickets, and almost a week in the city surrounded by coughing, inconsiderate and maskless people I realized the risk was there to catch it at the venue regardless and so I went anyway! Massive indoor stadium, and I was one of like ten people with a mask on. I would've been so f*cking GUTTED if she had cancelled because she had COVID. Guaranteed there were thousands of others at every show who were much sicker, and some likely not vaccinated either. This is such a stupid conversation but I guess Swifties always gotta find an angle!
