Let's get into it.

1. The music sucked. I'm not really sure if anything else on the album would have made a better lead or second single either tbh. Witness was her best shot. BA and Swish Swish were terrible.

2. She took too long to release. The public simply moved on, not to mention her style of music isn't popular right now. Unless you have a really established base, you can't take so much time off while releasing nothing in between.

3. Her looks were very off putting this era and it matters more than people think, unfortunately.

Time to go back to the drawing board. I don't think her career is over. She just needs a good song to come back with and THAT seems to be most of these girls biggest problem. The try hard antics aren't working anymore and sure as hell aren't going to get people to stream your music on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. Time to focus on releasing good music.

! the age of pop antics 2010-2015 is over

Oh man, poor Katy.. :frown:

Lorde deserves even better but I'm sure the critical acclaim will keep it hanging there for a while anyway.

The pure sales number really is not that bad. It was a massive drop from 170k pure sales but everybody knew that was lead by ticket bundle redemptions. It is sort of weird that it is so low though because she had more tickets go on sale Thurs/Fri.

The SPS is abysmal though. No way you can defend that. :toofunny2:

Katy's drop omg :deadbanana2:

92% drop and that's WITH the tour bundles for the second week :deadbanana2:

Imagine her numbers if she didn't have them, 99% ? :deadbanana2:

Poor Katy :( This proves that no one is safe from flopping.

Anyway, I think she should just release another song just to keep her music out there and make sure that she sells out her tour. My hope is that the tour inspires her to make better music for the next album.

OT: Katy must be having panic attacks. I remember seeing a video of her obsessing over ET's chart position

Nn to imagine that a few weeks back we only would've had 7 female #1s from 2016-2017 :'(

And I thought Katy was an album artist?

It was indeed a perfect delusion.

OT: Slé Lorde. I hope she doesn't take as long for L3.

Truly an album artiste :clap3:Wonder what the figures would be if she wasn't such a global album artist like I've been reading.
