So I get a trigger happy Flamebait warning for making a thread saying The Cure is dancehall influenced (with a link to a legitimate source, Rolling Stone), but mods can make posts like this? OT: Hopefully her witnesses get her through this. Edited June 21, 2017 by liberalmusiclover

WHEW. And Katy if someone told me this would be follow up to back to back eras like Teenage Dream and Prism, I would not have believed it for a minute. I mean no gradual decline or moderate "flop" era to lead into a more pronounced one, just a sheer cliff drop from the top ...even with all the messiness of the Witness launch, you would think she'd still have some residual good will; the numbers she used to pull in the first weeks indicated a pretty robust fan base at one point, like.... Pop audiences can be so ridiculously fickle. Edited June 21, 2017 by Ascension
ronelmaano13 Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Where are the witnesses to get her through this? Seriously, where are her fans? If they are not buying, at least stream the good songs off of the album. Stream Roulette, people!
Mike91 Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Let's get into it. 1. The music sucked. I'm not really sure if anything else on the album would have made a better lead or second single either tbh. Witness was her best shot. BA and Swish Swish were terrible. 2. She took too long to release. The public simply moved on, not to mention her style of music isn't popular right now. Unless you have a really established base, you can't take so much time off while releasing nothing in between. 3. Her looks were very off putting this era and it matters more than people think, unfortunately. Time to go back to the drawing board. I don't think her career is over. She just needs a good song to come back with and THAT seems to be most of these girls biggest problem. The try hard antics aren't working anymore and sure as hell aren't going to get people to stream your music on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. Time to focus on releasing good music.
TYE Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Katy put a wig on before idol and you'll be fine please
Serendipity Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 The way Katy is still inflated a bit due to more ticket bundles I can't even tell if this means her tour is doing badly too
Recordyear Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Jason Isbell’s first week Chris Stapleton being stable on sales despite postponed tour dates Congrats to Lorde, you deserve the first place.
