prettyinpink940
Both are perfect pop albums, but 1989 takes the crown for me.

Gladiator
Sorry but no, and its kind of refreshing to see people stop hyping up 1989. I am a Swiftie and 1989 is in the lower tier of her albums after the years have gone by, whereas Teenage Dream is still in the top tier of pop albums. AxelFox
It's more polished and works better as a whole but has nowhere the personality nor is it as infectious as Teenage Dream. Though considering 1989 would most likely have not existed in the same form if it was not for Teenage Dream before it, I'm gonna go ahead and vote for the latter. Taylor perfected the formula, but could not recreate the magic and fun imo.

jjmed59
if we're gonna use the charts as a barometer for whats better (like swifties do), then the one with all those number ones is. if not, it's still teenage dream dkskkgkskf there was a divine pop energy on that album that just has not been replicated since ((i still lovvveee 1989 and its top 3 tae albums for me)) Edited May 21 by jjmed59

Mr. Duff
I love me a lot of Taylor + Style and I Know Places >>>>> any song on Teenage Dream. But overall I find Teenage Dream slightly the stronger album. The singles run was crazy (and all great pop songs). I also love all the album tracks, I mean Hummingbird Heartbeat and Who Am I Living For are bops. 1989 is a strong body of work too, but I prefer other Taylor's pop albums to it. CherryBay
1989 was way too safe and focused on young audience TD at least was different in places and had something for everybody that's why TD was so successful era with 6 no.1 in the end
