Lol the dogwhistles on this forum are really so disgusting. I'd almost respect it more if you guys would just straight up reveal your ugly, nasty, and bigoted spirit and say what you really mean. dawnettakins
BEYONCÉ eats 1989 for an appetizer at lunch. It's not even a main course, let alone a 3 course meal, let alone even dinner.
Donquizote
Yes. 1989 is aging like fine wine while BEYONCE is aging like milk 1 1

Patient Zero
BEYONCE is such a versatile and sophisticated project. It made me fall in love with her again. It also made me feel like a powerful and sexy woman...and I'm a man. 1989 is good for Swifties and their...standards. Lemme keep it cute

Great808
ST by far, and I say that as a huge critic of Beyonce's discography. There was way more effort to the point where they clearly didn't really have radio success on their minds while making this but it actually paid off (unlike Lemonade) whereas 1989 was clearly constructed for radio and top 40 success, all cookie cutter af and absolutely NO edge to it start to finish. BabyBenzz
BEYONCÉ is amazing and definitely my favorite album from Bey, but 1989 is pop perfection.. it is holy at this point

Chris
1989 better than Beyonce's best studio album? Don't think so.
Slap
Yes only because it's Taylor's only good album while self titled is the most overrated Beyonce album ever aside from DIL and Partition. Pick another album and it would be Beyonce every time.
selena_lavigne
See maybe i do like Renaissance more than Self-Titled because Renaissance > 1989 (Taylor's Version) > Self-Titled If we are looking at the albums as a whole. Cuz then BLOW. NO ANGEL. ROCKET. PARTITION. JEALOUS. Are all COMPLETE COLLAPSES. Edited May 26 by selena_lavigne

cuteboyzay
Although I'm not a huge Taylor fan, I feel this is one of the most ODD and subjective comparisons LMAOOO! What BEYONCÉ did with ST- critcially, commercially, culturally. Remains one of the most iconic/legendary things done for music in general lmao! What Taylor did with 1989 was also a pop culture moment, and solidified her place in Pop. Not only that but that's honestly one of the last TRUE legendary eras we have had in Pop lmao. And it's also a good album. I think Beyoncé wins CULTURALLY for what she broke for the industry lmao! We haven't had a moment like that in nearly a decade. 1989 wins in terms of an Era in general. For it being one of the last big juggernaut Eras in Pop Music and for how huge Shake It Off and Blank Space were. Both have their strengths and their weaknesses. In terms of quality I pick BEYONCÉ 100x over. But that's my personal preference lmao.
NausAllien
BEYONCE is BY FAR the superior album 1989 is just a fun collection of pop songs, but BEYONCÉ is much more than that. It's a statement. It has a message. It deals with serious topics. Taylor could never...
