Anvarie Posted May 21 Posted May 21 According to Apple Music's ranking, 1989 is the superior album, sitting at #18. Beyoncé's self titled, is further up at 36. Do you agree that as an album (lyrically, vocally, production, artistry, impact, accolades, legacy), 1989 ate up the Levi's Jeans singer?

TaggedGalaxy Posted May 21 Posted May 21 We all know the answer to this but of course THOTS will break their heels running in here to vote for the incorrect option
AxelFox Posted May 21 Posted May 21 As if. BEYONCÉ is among Beyoncé's best work, arguably the best all thing considered. Taylor swift's best album would compare to Beyoncé's 5th or 6th best. 12 7

Popular Post Virgos Groove Posted May 21 Popular Post Posted May 21 An album with Shake It Off and Bad Blood cannot be better than an album with Blow and Rocket. It just can't. 3 21
Popular Post Blue Monday Posted May 21 Popular Post Posted May 21 (edited) 1989 is given A LOT on here. The singles were massive and there are some stone cold classics on there (Style, Blank Space to name a few) but Welcome to New York is the opening track see also: Bad Blood. The fact that we're also judging the horrendous TV is also a huge slap in the face; the production on BEYONCÉ is miles ahead of 1989 and is more adventurous than anything Taylor has done in her career. AxelFox Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Just now, Rama said: Nope. Now if they would've gone with folklore/evermore... ... it wouldn't change anything. They're good albums but not on the level of what Beyoncé's been doing since ST. Maybe you can compare them to 4 but even that sounds like blasphemy if you ask me considering the disparity between Beyoncé's delivery and vocal performance on that album compared to taylor. 2 10 1
PaloSanto Posted May 21 Posted May 21 I'd say self ttiled has way higher highs but also has lower lows. No offense but Fadless, 9/11 and Shitty Hurts are NOISE . I'm glad my first self titled listen was accidentally on shuffle and I started with Jealous cause I wouldve stopped half way thru PH and never went back to it. While 1989s biggest offensor are Welcome to Pionyang and Bad Blood. 1
Heldenzeit Posted May 21 Posted May 21 I do prefer 1989 as I have much more memories tied to it. It basically was the soundtrack to my first relationship.
CoolNebraskaGuy Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Apple music is really off their rocker with this list lol. Really showing questionable taste. It's giving Pitchfork's top 200 albums of the 2010s It's self-titled for me. I like songs on 1989 but I find the whole vibe of that album to be grating.
Pinkbutterflies Posted May 21 Posted May 21 1989 was an iconic era filled with big hits whereas the other one is forgotten along with the rest of the disco 1
VerdantHue Posted May 21 Posted May 21 (edited) BEYONCÉ's the reason why miss Taylor along with the others participate in New Music Friday. Edited May 21 by VerdantHue 4 1
newaespa Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Easily BEYONCÉ is her best album but it is only slightly better than Taylor's debut album and that's it. 1
