Wonderland Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Overall I'm happy tbh. A bit sad that Kacey didn't make it into AOTY with her efforts this year but I see she has been rewarded well in the genre noms. I find it a bit odd that DWAS and A Bar Song only got Song. They both seem more like Record noms to me if you had to pick one.
KOMH Posted November 8 Posted November 8 The sour grapes from Ariana stans. You guys should be happy she made it into BPA 1 1 1 1

The category just means that it's a pop album with vocals on it, originally named to differentiate from a pop instrumental album category. Not necessarily about the vocals themselves. 1
aotwbys Posted November 8 Posted November 8 The Grammys are usually pretty top 40 poppy but this year seems like an abnormally high amount of pop lol 2
MatiRod Posted November 8 Posted November 8 "360" being nominated for Record of the Year is insane/hilarious. Who would've thought. Charli's rise since Brat came out is of the biggest pop justices ever. 6 1

Iridesence Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Someone behind the scenes at the Grammys hates Ari bad omg. I mean I wasn't expecting an AOTY nomination, but not even a Pop Solo for We Can't Be Friends is kinda Happy for all the nominees, but I've kinda soured from the Grammys at this stage, I just feel like my tastes are not aligned with their choices at all. Excited for Charli though, I think she's really in with a good chance of at least racking up one grammy (finally). 2
Almodusa Posted November 9 Author Posted November 9 Voting body is made up of thousands, not 5 people - there's no conspiracy against a given artist 2

OneAndOnly Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Someone else may have asked this already, but why are the Grammys calling Chappell's album "Chappell Roan The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess?" As far as I can tell no other platform/streaming service includes her name on the album title itself?
Polgg48 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 as much how many our pop girls released on this saturated overpopular year, there're too many to pick winner on daily change and everything moves on rapid pace to care about individual dominate ones. my betting money prediction is chappell to be snubbed on all noms, taylor to win one on pop vocal album but dud elsewhere as well as sabrina only on her BNA, bey... same old same old non-big 4 wins, billie win some lose some with big 4 win or two, dance pop on charli and that's all, kendrick swept on rap, the beatles win every nom, and kehlani gets her flowers on r&b
Mocha Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) just saw Madison Beer in best dance record with Make you mine, is that her first nod? She's in good company too Edited November 9 by Mocha 1

G.U.Y_Del_Rey Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) Die With A Smile Charli getting the recognition she deserves with this album Billie and Chappell We can't be friends deserved a nom (interesting that they went with yes, and? for Best Dance Pop Recording), and Dua's Houdini too. BloodLuster Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Billie and Taylor Finneas not getting a best producer nom is just unhinged. I swore he got it on lock
Iuke Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Album of the Year: HIT ME HARD AND SOFT - Billie Eilish Record of the Year: "360" - Charli xcx Song of the Year: "Good Luck, Babe!" performed by Chappell Roan source: tarot card readings
