Kh-Loud Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Why are the stans of the horrible, dated and ears destroying track DAISIE so mad? Like I don't get it Your fave has zero acclaimed work so please know your place! 1
Heldenzeit Posted November 8 Posted November 8 About damn time! She better not go home empty handed 1
aotwbys Posted November 8 Posted November 8 The Grammys are usually pretty top 40 poppy but this year seems like an abnormally high amount of pop lol 2
MatiRod Posted November 8 Posted November 8 "360" being nominated for Record of the Year is insane/hilarious. Who would've thought. Charli's rise since Brat came out is of the biggest pop justices ever. 6 1
Where are you now? Posted November 8 Posted November 8 42 minutes ago, Maxxie said: Yeah because it's what…32 songs with 17 variants released again and again? The album is not going to be remembered. None of the songs are hits. The GP wouldn't know a single song off that album. Same with CC It's not going to be remembered because Maxxie says so everyone! It sold 2.6 million its first week, BEFORE she was doing all the annoying variants with an extra live song. Every major artist on the planet does multiple variants, get over it (although i'm not sure variants existed back when your fav Rih last released anything)
aotwbys Posted November 8 Posted November 8 The Grammys snubbed Renaissance and now they're overcorrecting with these noms lmao
Popboi. Posted November 8 Posted November 8 1 hour ago, Comedor said: BNA The sooner y'all realize "BNA" is a mainstream breakthrough rewarding trophy, the better. It's not about being new, especially when all nominated this year but Benson Boone debuted 10-15 years ago. 2
Jay07 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Beyonce cannot game the nominations. Grammys have famously moved songs from R&B to pop if they felt it was more fitting. Literally take two seconds to look it up. 3
beatsandbops Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I really hope she wins Songwriter of the year. Yeah, Amy Allen has the bigger hits. But I don't know if they take in account Raye activism for songwriters and them getting fair pay. Even if she doesn't win, the nomination and recognition is a huge deal for her. 1
Fitzswiftie Posted November 8 Posted November 8 2 hours ago, Comedor said: BNA She's literally still on her debut album cycle.
Fitzswiftie Posted November 8 Posted November 8 1 hour ago, Antisocialites said: kinda weird she was nominated this year for BNA but still happy for her. She was still a one hit wonder in the US last year, and pop acts like those never get nominated for BNA. In the past year she swept the BRITs and helped to cement herself in the US as the current mainstream forebearer for jazz.

Popular Post Disconnect Posted November 8 Popular Post Posted November 8 (edited) LMAO the Grammys are meant to be about quality and CC is an amazing album. What are y'all so bitter about?? Edited November 8 by Disconnect 11 4
babycomeround Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) I hope she wins AOTY (even if it's undeserving this time around) for the all the other years she was snubbed. Self Titled & Lemonade deserved. And then I hope she never steps foot into another Grammy ceremony again. 27 years of acclaim, talent, sales and they still wouldn't award her. Whether you are a fan or not, Beyonce delivered on all metrics. And I've already seen comments "she's the most nominated and they still say she's slept on!" How many of her wins are in the main category? For her impact and legacy, she's been massively overlooked. And we know why. The Grammy voters have made it clear. Edited November 8 by babycomeround 1
babycomeround Posted November 8 Posted November 8 When you think back to her first shot at commercial success during Sucker and it's underperformance. She really could've thrown in the towel and just became a songwriter for other artists. But she continued to grow, cultivated exciting sounds and is now nominated for 9 Grammys. Deserved. 1
Bey'Knight Posted November 8 Posted November 8 5 hours ago, iHype. said: This was clearly marketed as a Country album, and the only genre it really should've gotten noms in was Country. What a ridiculous take. Even for album categories, only 51% of a record needs to fit within the genre. No artist has ever been confined to submitting to one genre and Bey is not the first not only one to submit to multiple genres. She's mastered the art of collating multiple genres yet delivering a cohesive soundscape within the same body of work. Her recognition doesnt need to be minimised cus you and the others in here sucking sour grapes can't wrap your heads around it. 5

Alex Posted November 8 Posted November 8 she deserves electronic album and AOTY no doubt. truly her year as pop's underdog finally getting her well deserved flowers and being the pioneer for an entire subgenre of pop music. that doesn't come without some weight and the academy clearly recognized that!
Iridesence Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Someone behind the scenes at the Grammys hates Ari bad omg. I mean I wasn't expecting an AOTY nomination, but not even a Pop Solo for We Can't Be Friends is kinda Happy for all the nominees, but I've kinda soured from the Grammys at this stage, I just feel like my tastes are not aligned with their choices at all. Excited for Charli though, I think she's really in with a good chance of at least racking up one grammy (finally). 2
BGood2Me Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Deserved it Hope she wins something Chappel, Ari & Olivia also deserved some wins
