naval23 Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Damn Tay really prevented Cruel Summer from being a 70+ week charting hit because of Poets album bomb

Cruel Summer might also cannibalize Broken heart But seriously, Fortnight did its job and Broken Heart needs to be the WCBF of Tortured Poets. That hook is just so catchy! 1
pride4jc1222 Posted May 28 Author Posted May 28 If Cruel Summer goes recurrent this week, TTPD did not cause it. Billie's album being stronger than expected, as well as CS's downward trajectory in recent weeks, caused it. Fortnight is the only song on TTPD projected to be in the Top 25 this week. Even if CS survives this week, it won't survive another 15 weeks. It probably won't even survive 5 more weeks. Billboard's recurrent rules are laughable anyways. Why did they let FE!N come back from recurrency just to take up a space in the 55-60 range every week, but Last Night doesn't get to come back from recurrency?

Fortnight is the only Taylor song in the top 25, it was Billie's 8 songs in the top 25 that will make it go recurrent (if it goes recorrent)

I noticed that Cruel Summer is finally dropping more on radio which was its main metric in the last months so yeah even if it survives it won't last too much time.
