Popular Post RideOrDie Posted May 21 Popular Post Posted May 21 all she needed to do was not say **** about variants, post a story listening to fortnight and taylor would have shipped those physicals weeks later. but i guess she only cares about the environment and not charts or whatever so everyone's happy! 5 3 34 1 1

I'm not denying that, just that ridiculous user acting like Taylor's album is performing better this week when it isn't. It just has 3x the amount of tracks that Billie's has. So even with a much lower average streams per track, it still comes out higher. It's common sense. 1 1 2

Isn't it more telling how Taylor is as a person to hold onto the #1 spot for five weeks with different versions to spite other artists because they potentially shaded her poor environmental practices? 11 1 3

Brikenbur Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Taylor is truly DIRRTY for this. Hopefully more people start to see the antics she plays… she did it with early #1 projections for Drake's single, projections for SZA's close fourth week at #1, and now Billie's debut week. Capitalist Evil Queen strikes again! 6 1 1 1
TouchinFree Posted May 21 Posted May 21 (edited) Come one Billie , release 83 versions second week. At least your album is perfect. The ball is in your court sis. Edited May 21 by TouchinFree

You have no way of quantifying this or substantiating this claim though. Billie's discography got a massive boost with HMHAS release but by your logic her catalog should have taken a hit with everyone listening to the album? note: people can listen to more than one song a day and most people don't obsessively spam music all day.
PoisonedIvy Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Taylor, Billie, and their teams/labels laughing ALL the way to the bank Competition is good for the industry, it's a rising tide that raises all ships. While yall fight, everyone else wins. I sit back and enjoy both albums and congratulate them both on exceeding initial predictions. Y'all's conflict just provides the extra entertainment as a cherry on top. 12
wastedpotential Posted May 21 Posted May 21 This thread oh I'm giggling and kicking my feet Not everyone gets to win the game Still, 300k is an insane week for miss O'Connell, I'm glad my copy contributed to what might turn into her biggest week ever 1 5

How's that anyone's fault that it has more tracks though? If it had less tracks it could just as well be pulling very similar numbers. By the time you listen to HMHAS, I still haven't reached half of Poets. 1
Popular Post Popboi. Posted May 21 Popular Post Posted May 21 (edited) Billie's album has even more vinyl variants than Taylor's, digital version exclusive, signed copies etc. She played the game but got beaten in it, some of y'all need to enter the reality check that the music business is that, a business. the only card she didn't play was adding more songs to the album, but adding another 50k units from streams is totally unrealistic from Billie.
