KingWitch Posted May 18 Posted May 18 For 10 songs this is impressive. Also these short albums are amazing because you can listen from beginning to end in one go, thank God there's still artists doing that 8
Flower Posted May 18 Posted May 18 People are praising the no pre single strategy. Maybe it's working, but to me it is so boring for an album era... What happened to fun album cycle. But for HMHAS it is probably for the best since there is no clear single material for the album. 6 1

NordicGuy Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Those are huge numbers for an album like this! Extremely impressive and deserved 1

We're gonna need a shift when it comes to post album release promo to feel like an era (which hasn't happened yet, most just let the era die after the first week until touring). Billie gave us a whole rollout with HTE, but people turned into a weird a backlash that truly harmed her brand at that time (it won the long game, though). Olivia also gave a full era for GUTS but interest fell with each subsequent single, even when they were bangers. I guess the lesson is that if you have a huge fanbase to rely upon, it's best to just drop the whole thing and start the era from there. Pre-release is still very important for faceless, on the come-up and GP-dependent acts 5
