So will Taylor block Billie from #1?

Also no, she won't. Billie will debut with 300-350k units.

Hopefully not. This is Billie's moment.

Those discs are the most important and desired element of the vinyl. It's what people buy them for, which is also why the entire industry is offering multi-colored vinyl. So yes, there are Billie fans that will buy 15 vinyls because of different disc colors.

This is so dumb lmao. On the shelf it's all the same album. Different covers + exclusive songs > different disk colors. Use your brain if you have one.

This desperation to make it look like she has a plethora of fan bulk buyable variants like Taylor's ACTUAL variants is hilarious to say the least. The insecurity is funny :rip:

Except it's not the "same album". They're all different variants. The discs are literally the name of the product, nothing in a vinyl packaging is more important or essential than the vinyl itself. Most people that bulk vinyl do it because of those discs, that is why every artist is doing it. So Billie's variants are just as much of a sales gimmick as Taylor's variants and that's why industry sources like Billboard will continue treating Billie's variants the same way they treat Taylor's or anyone else's variants.

The only "desperation" here is Billie offering 15 different versions of her vinyl because she wants those sales, and kudos to her, she has all the right to want her album to be successful.

People buying so many albums is so cringe. You can stream it. Imagine buying 20 versions. Screams problematic and scary.

Swifties need to shut up about 15 "variants". Nobody gonna buy 15 vinyls just because they have different disc colours

idk where they get this information but Billie has exactly 8 vinyl variants and they only differ in the color of the vinyl.
A standard one (Black), the normal one (Blue) and then the store variants (like everyone else cause these are deals w the labels) Amazon(red), walmark (grey), Target (yellow), UO (white) Indie (green) and a spotify exclusive (foam green). 1 version cd and 1 version cassette. That's it.
All have the same cover and exactly the same 10 tracks.

The signed and splashed cd versions are just the normal ones w an insert not a new version and are sold at the exact same price so they sold out in minutes.

Basically all artist have this and much more nowadays so its not that that will make a huge difference in charts. At the end of the day is still how many people enjoy and buy the album not how many color variants it has.

This exactly. I'm still wondering where those 7 other imaginary variants are coming from

I would have said yes but 100k preorders? I doubt it

Don't think having a different cover and track for each variant is quite the same as that… :clownny:

No, the most important element of a vinyl (or any music recordings) is the content aka the music in it. By placing exclusive bonus tracks in each variant, means fans need to purchase multiple vinyls just to have a full music experience.

Unpopular opinion but If people buying vinyls just for souvenir purposes, it shouldn't be counted towards music consumption

And the physical manifestation of that music is the vinyl disc, so yes, the disc is indeed the most important part of the product you pay for. Without the disc you can't play the music. And offering multi-colored vinyl discs is the biggest incentive there is for more sales, anything else is secondary.

I am afraid that she can do it with her music spam. But Billie serves quality over quantity. And would serve longevity.

Give it a rest. Y'all used this argument with Midnights and the tracklist was entirely the same. Same thing happened with folklore too. Yes, she had different covers. How are different covers any different from Billie selling album booklets with drops of paint on them :rip:

Are you insinuating that this Billie album will have better longevity than TTPD :rip:

No. It's obvious TTPD will live at B200 rent free, but Billie will also be fine.

She might but who cares? Billie released a stellar album and is doing very well for herself which is all that matters. A grown woman pushing 40 and still stuck in petty numbers games shouldn't be the least of her worries.

I'm still leaning toward no, but Taylor held much stronger than I initially expected this week, and historically, digital download tactics like the one she's used today have been exceptionally successful for her. I no longer think it's safe and easy to count TTPD out for #1 unless HDD's initial predictions this week show a clear and significant gap between it and Billie's album, in favor of the latter.

There are like 1000 copies of those exclusive editions, uncount it if you want, doesn't make any difference :rip:

Still failed to see what is comparable between Billie's variants to Taylor's :coffee2:
