teenager Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Selena songs spans about 3 notes and she still can't stay on key in her own chorus. The best is Taylor.

Taylor can sing, but she is vocally lazy and she uses the same delivery and doesn't even try to hit somewhat high vocals since rep, it's kinda upsetting that she's not experimenting with her voice like she used to because i feel many TTPD songs could benefit from a little more vocal boldness. Sel is my girl, but due to lupus her voice has worsened a lot after Rare, she used to have some nice live vocal moments consistently during 2011-2014 and honestly her voice was pleasing to the ears, but her belts always lacked resonance and power. Jlo improved a lot since her early days but I never liked her voice because it feels like she lacks something, but she's an amazing dancer so she doesn't need vocals and honestly, her improvement says a lot about her work ethic, she's very dedicated. Tbh I'd say Britney>Taylor=Young Selena>Jlo>Current day Selena yeah this Selena had some cute moments here and there a few years back that even not being perfect, she could hold some tunes, most of the Rock God and AYWR performances prove this. Sadly I don't think she can't even record them on studio these days, lupus killed her voice in ways I didn't believe it was possible 1
Jay07 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Britney could sing when she was younger but like dancing, she abandonded all training and improving 20 years ago. Taylor is ok and can carry a tune. JLo and Selena can barely carry a tune and I also find their tone deeply unpleasant.

After Past Life everything went downhill, since then she sounds throaty and her enunciation is beyond terrible, I hope this is a temporary side effect of Lupus or her meds because it hurts me so much... Eternium Posted May 14 Posted May 14 In terms of the best voices, it's objectively: Britney >> Taylor >>>>> J. Lo >>>>>>>>>> Selena. J. Lo used to be the most abysmal, but she got shamed and worked on herself.
Saintlor Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Taylor is the strongest, what she lacks in vocal agility she makes up for in cadence and emotion 1
wastedpotential Posted May 14 Posted May 14 In 2024, the best to worst is Taylor >>> Britney > JLo > Selena OTH can grumble all they want but vocals from the Eras shows have all been consistently quite good, and she has a lower register that's basically unmatched by anyone else.
on the line Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I'd still listen to any of these 4 every day before I'd listen to the "vocalists" the bottoms here praise. As my elderly mother said while listening to Midnights on a drive, "It's so nice to not have a singer screaming at me!"
Norte Posted May 14 Posted May 14 You are making me choose Taylor, She's not good but she's not that bad like Britney o Selena
Selegend Posted May 14 Posted May 14 (edited) Before lupus took over: Taylor > Selena = Jlo > Britney (At least Selena and Jlo tried). this is good. it's a good vocal performance. As it was during basically all Revival performances. Now Selena is basically not a singer anymore so she wouldn't belong to this voting list since yep, even speak has been hard for her with that amout of medication. I personally don't even know how she's still in the game, i wouldn't even bother if i was her. The thing with Ms Spears with all due respect to the pop legend that she is, is that i won't analize happy birthday performances. Edited May 14 by Selegend 1

Chris Posted May 14 Posted May 14 The answer is Selena. The only reason Britney can stay "on key" is because she doesn't even sing live. Like hello?
UnusualBoy Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Selena per her last live performance. Taylor isn't even bad, I mean she's not the best singer you've ever heard but she's improved these past years and she actually stays in key.
ShadeIena Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Selena has the best soft vocals and a unique tone (when she sings). She had a strong voice during Revival when she was taking vocal lessons 1

Daglazzo Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Jlo is the worst. Plus she's rude and miserable. I've seen COUNTLESS proofs of that (singing and behaving) 1
shinyshimmery Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Taylor is a good singer, idk why yall trip. Out of them all I would have to say Britney... at least the others sing live.
