Following the Met Gala, there's been a growing movement on Tiktok & Twitter, of blocking celebrities who don't show support for Palestine. People have started to get frustrated that celebrities are out at The Met, walking in expensive dresses and jewelry. Israel & The US is actively committing a genocide.

I wish people put as much energy as they did into making very distasteful tiktoks of suffering and traumatised Palestinian people and comparing them to Met Gala and Hunger Games (The Met is a charity event with a lot of time that is put into it made by multiple people who aren't all major celebrities, from designers, to hairstylists, photography, architects and so much more for a Fashion Museum) and instead start writing letters to their MPs and local politicians, I see more tiktoks about the upper than I've seen from the latter.   

 

I also find it interesting how none of the same energy is put into football and other sporting events, The Olympics is happening soon and Israel will most likely compete but I haven't seen any attempts at all, all of it is focused on Art industries (which take over thousands of people to put together, majority not millionaires but working people). It is extremely disappointing that Celebrities haven't spoken out but we need to truly pinpoint on our governments to make a change.

Given that Beyonce was seemly tributing Black Panthers on the superbowl + showing support for black live matter + appearing to be anti-cop. it's interesting she hasn't been vocal about palestine, when those issues intersect on colonization & occupation of Palestine.
